LAST CALL!
This is the final reminder for Weymouth Youth Hockey and Fore River Selects (girl's program) jersey orders. If you are planning to register for the upcoming 26-27 season and would like your player's name on their jersey, please submit your orders ASAP. If a player is registered after today and they have not completed the jersey order, they will be assigned a random jersey number and will not have their name printed on their shirt.
Online stores for equipment (helmets, gloves, etc) is also closing this week so get those in too! See links in comments

Calling all graduating seniors!
We are pleased to announce that we are again offering 3 scholarships to graduating seniors that participated in Weymouth Youth Hockey. If you are a graduating senior, please complete the attached application and essay and return to Weymouth Youth Hockey by May 31, 2026.
Applications can be submitted electronically to [email protected] (treasurer email), or mailed to WYH at P.O. Box 890253, Weymouth, MA 02189.

What a weekend for our U8 squad! On Saturday, we played a very solid semifinal game against KPW, coming away with an 11–5 win to punch our ticket to the SSM Mite A Championship on Sunday the 29th versus Milton. The team showed great effort, teamwork, and determination to get to the final.
The championship game didn’t start the way we planned. Milton came out strong, playing tight defense and moving the puck well, scoring three unanswered goals in the first period. We managed to get one back before the break to make it 3–1. The second period was a battle on both sides, but Milton edged it again, sending us into the second intermission down 5–2. During the break, we made some adjustments and delivered a simple message: get more pucks to the net. The response was incredible. We came out flying in the third, moving the puck quickly and generating chances. Goals from Gavin McGoldrick and Sean Lucas, along with clutch saves from Trevor Lions, helped us rally to tie the game 5–5. Gavin then gave us our first lead at 6–5, before Milton answered to tie it again.
With just 3:30 remaining, a great play behind the net by Ben and Gavin set up Pat Russell for the go-ahead goal to make it 7–6. Milton pulled their goalie late, but Trevor came up with another big save, and Sean Lucas sealed the game with an empty-net goal from our blue line to make it 8–6. Every player was locked in during that third period comeback—it was a total team effort and an unforgettable finish.
What an incredible way to wrap up the season for this amazing group of kids. So proud of their heart, resilience, and teamwork all year long. Congratulations, Mite A Champions! 🏆
