I got a surprise from the tropics yesterday! When we were in St. Thomas we made friends with the owners of Tradewinds Galleria - awesome people with a cool shop! They sent me some new sun shirts - now we just need the weather! If you find yourself in Red Hook, STT definitely stop by to meet Lance and Tina and to share some pirate stories!

In lieu of tournament season being cancelled and the Parker’s launch likely being delayed - I decided to buy a skiff with the goal of making what I feel is a great inshore rig. After tedious searching I found a great boat that is a bit of a blank canvas. I probably could have found a more finished product - but I’m excited to trick it out as I please. I will document the progress here - please pitch in if you have any advice or feedback! @ Weymouth, Massachusetts

First of all, thanks for everyone who donated! We crushed our original goal of $2k! Today I executed the following donations:

1. $1,000 - The Ranfurly Homes for Children in Nassau. They have opened their doors to children from Abaco and Grand Bahama that have been displaced by Hurricane Dorian. These funds will assist the enrolling of these children in private schooling and trauma counseling.

2. $1,000 - TREASURE CAY, ABACO Community Foundation Canada – https://tccfcanada.ca/

3. $335 to Jody Albury and his family. I have had the pleasure of fishing with Jody, and he is a great guy. Per the Go Fund Me page set up for them, "Jody is a fishing guide and his wife Ruth works for a non profit organization dedicated to preserving the environment of the Abacos. So they are both deeply rooted in their community. Marsh Harbour and Man O War Cay are the only home Jody and Ruth have ever known.

Hurricane Dorian swept their home away. Like countless others, Jody and Ruth had to swim to safety in the middle of the storm and ride it out for two days on the second floor of another house. They had no food and no water and only the clothes on their backs. Once the storm passed, Jody and Ruth realized their beloved home was gone. Not only was their home gone but their cars, and all of the possessions they hold dear."

Special thanks to everyone that helped spread the word -

My favorite passions are fishing and traveling - more often than not it’s the synergy of the two. We are all aware that Hurricane Dorian recently passed over the Bahamas (Abaco) as a slow moving category 5. The storm left pure devastation in it’s path. Imagine going from having everything to having nothing - no house, car, boat, etc.

Per Fox News, “Hurricane Dorian is the strongest storm to ever threaten Florida’s East Coast.”

The people of the Bahamas are some of the kindest I have met. They don’t have the luxury of driving away from the storm, or stopping at a Lowe’s or Home Depot to pick up recovery supplies. Unfortunately, it looks as if this is going leave a long lasting effect.

Please consider helping out by means of donation. As it stands, I am waiting for the storm to settle to see what is the best group to provide the funds to, but we are considering the hospital(s), school(s) and the Hurricane Dorian Relief Fund.

*REPOST* by , thanks again for a great trip: Couldn’t wait any longer to post - quick video of the 500lb Blue Marlin we hooked and released last week in the canyons. It was an epic breakfast bite that woke us all up properly.

Had this juvenile Striped Bass come up and check out the spread. Amazing to see how these fish approach bait how many times they will check it out before (if at all) they do hit.

DM me if you want to see he full clip.
