RTCMag SpringSummer2026 FINAL 06/05/2026

“I kept seeing bike kiosks in cities and thought, ‘Why not trail towns?’ The opportunity was obvious.”

Trail Town Bikes was just featured in the Spring/Summer 2026 issue of Rails to Trails Magazine — the national publication for the 4.6 million people who ride, walk, and explore trails like the D&L every year.

The D&L Trail runs right through White Haven. We’re right there at the trailhead — open dawn to dusk, every day, no reservation needed. Your first 20 minutes are always free.

The trail is here. Your bike is waiting.

Great to be part of the Pa Outdoor Recreation community along the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor. Amazing group of passionate people and businesses.

🌲🚴 Connecting with the Outdoor Economy in PA 🚴🌲

DLNHC Conservation Manager Brit Kondravy and Economic Development Manager Alice Wanamaker attended the first‑ever Outdoor Business Alliance Summit in State College from April 26–28, 2026, and we’re still energized by the experience.

The Summit brought together an inspiring group of keynote speakers, panelists, small business owners, and champions of outdoor recreation from across Pennsylvania, highlighting the strength and momentum of the state’s growing outdoor economy.

From inspiring conversations about the state’s growing outdoor economy to tours of local outdoor spaces and new trails, the Summit was full of fresh ideas, collaboration, and momentum for what comes next.

📸 Pictured left to right: Silas Chamberlin (Outdoor Business Alliance Executive Director), Chuck Stoffa (Trail Town Bikes), Jerry McAward (Lehighton Outdoor Center & DLNHC Board Member), Nathan Reigner (PA Office of Outdoor Recreation Director), Brit Kondravy, and Alice Wanamaker.

We’re excited to bring these ideas back to the Corridor and continue supporting Pennsylvania’s outdoor recreation community.

Honored to be recognized along with other local veteran entrepreneurs.

Announcing the first of our three Veteran Entrepreneur Award recipients for our Honor Recognition Luncheon: Captain Chuck Stoffa, and his business, Trail Town Bikes!

Captain Chuck Stoffa is a retired Naval Aviator and entrepreneur from White Haven, Pennsylvania, with over 30 years of combined active and reserve military service. Commissioned through NROTC at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1992 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he flew the SH-60B Seahawk helicopters and C-9B transport jets across multiple deployments, including a mobilization in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. He retired as the Navy Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where he was mobilized in support of the COVID-19 pandemic response. Over his career he logged over 3,000 rotary and fixed-wing flight hours and earned the Legion of Merit among other personal awards.

Chuck is the founder of two small businesses: Trail Town Bikes, a self-service bicycle rental operation at the Lehigh Gorge trailhead supporting outdoor recreation along the Delaware & Lehigh Trail, and Bella Gallery, an online art gallery that donates a portion of all sales to Homes For Our Troops, which supports injured veterans.

Join us on Monday, May 18th to honor and celebrate our local veteran and veteran entrepreneurs, to learn more about what this community offers for veterans, and to connect with community leaders.
