4,700 MILES LATER… WE MADE IT!!! ⛳️🚍🎉

On August 18, we left Soldotna, Alaska and started making our way southeast in Triple Bogey.

Last night, September 19, we FINALLY arrived in Buchanan, Tennessee for Bo’s US Kids Golf Tennessee State Fall Tournament! 🏌️‍♂️⛳️

Just shy of 4,700 MILES!!!

I guarantee there aren't many — if any — families at this tournament who drove quite as far as we did to get here. 😂

We’ve spent the last month traveling through Alaska, Canada, and the Lower 48, crossing borders, navigating some absolutely crazy roads, seeing some incredible scenery, making stops we never planned on making, and collecting a whole lot of memories along the way.

But now…

WE’RE HERE. 🙌

And we are READY TO STAY PUT FOR A LITTLE WHILE! 😂

No more “how many miles do we have left today?” No more packing up the RV nearly every morning.

For a little while, Triple Bogey is staying right here. ❤️🚍

Now it’s time to get settled, recharge, and get in some practice.

We’re so excited to finally be here and watch Bo compete!

📍 PARCELLS | BENTON, KENTUCKY 🥩☕️🍰

When you’re traveling across the country in an RV, sometimes the best stops are the little places you never would have known about if you weren’t driving through town.

We found Parcells in Benton, KY and HAD to stop for a late lunch when we found out they cook with beef tallow! 🙌🥩

And of course, we couldn’t leave without grabbing some treats from the bakery, too. 😂🍪

The food was great, the bakery treats were even harder to resist, and the prices were SO affordable! It’s always exciting to find a local spot that feels like the kind of place you’d want to come back to again and again.

We’re officially on the road to Tennessee for Bo’s US Kids Golf Tennessee State Fall Tournament! ⛳️🏌️‍♂️

We were really hoping we’d get some of that beautiful Tennessee FALL weather…

But apparently nobody told the weather. 😂🔥

It’s 99° today!!!

After spending the entire summer in Alaska, where we were golfing in temperatures in the 50s and 60s, 99° feels like a LOT. 🥵😂

Thankfully, it’s supposed to cool down into the low 80s by next weekend for the tournament, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed!

One of the things we love about RV travel is discovering little local gems like this along the way. You never know what you’re going to find when you take the time to stop instead of just rushing to the destination. ❤️🚍

Okay golfers… LET’S SEE WHO CAN FIGURE THIS ONE OUT! 👀⛳️

We left Coeur d’Alene Tuesday and have officially started making our way EAST toward Tennessee for Bo’s US Kids Golf Tennessee State Fall Tournament.

Along the way, we made a stop at a Harvest Hosts location that also participates in Youth on Course… and somehow we found what is now officially our FAVORITE golf course we’ve ever played! 😍⛳️

I’m not even kidding.

I don’t have time to put the full video together yet because we ended up extending our stay there and are still traveling, but I HAD to share one picture from the course.

And this picture contains a pretty big HINT…

👀 Look closely at that BLACK BUNKER.

If you know golf courses, you might recognize what makes this place so unique.

Here’s another hint: this course has a pretty fascinating history, and that black material isn’t just there for looks. 😉

We’ll share more pictures and eventually put together a full video because this place deserves it!

We may give up a lot of things to make this RV life work…

But coffee? Absolutely not. 😂☕️

One of our favorite parts of traveling in Triple Bogey is finding local coffee shops and bakeries wherever we go. There is just something about pulling into a new town, finding a little local spot, grabbing a coffee and a treat, and getting a small taste of the community.

And honestly… some of our best travel memories have started with coffee in our hands. ☕️❤️

Fun travel fact: Local coffee shops and bakeries can tell you a lot about an area. From regional flavors and locally roasted coffee to family recipes and homemade pastries, they are often some of the best hidden gems to discover while traveling!

So while we may be willing to boondock, drive thousands of miles, deal with RV repairs, survive questionable roads, and live in a much smaller space than we used to…

We will NEVER give up coffee. 😂🚍☕️

🏔️🚐 We may have officially found the PRETTIEST place we've ever parked Triple Bogey for the night!

After an incredible drive along the Icefields Parkway last week, we pulled into the Icefields RV Campground and were able to boondock for the night surrounded by some of the most unbelievable scenery we've ever seen.

🏔️ Around 6,500 feet in elevation
🧊 Views of FIVE glaciers
🚐 And our home on wheels parked right in the middle of the Canadian Rockies

We've stayed in some pretty incredible places over the last year, but waking up to views like THIS might officially take the top spot. ❤️

And here's a pretty amazing fact: glaciers aren't just beautiful—they're constantly moving! Even though the movement is usually too slow to notice, glaciers can shape entire valleys and landscapes over thousands of years.

This is exactly why we love RV travel.

Sometimes you plan an overnight stop...

And sometimes you accidentally find yourself parked in a place that looks like it belongs on a postcard. 🏔️🧊🚐

No fancy resort.
No hotel room.
Just our family, our RV, and one of the most incredible views we've ever had from our front door.

We may have to raise the bar for "best campsite ever." 😂

WE’RE BACK IN THE USA!!! 🇺🇸❤️🚍

After 12 days and nearly 2,500 miles of traveling through Canada, we FINALLY crossed back into the United States!

Canada has given us some incredible scenery and some unforgettable adventures, but we would juat stay in the USA if we could! 😂🚍

And after nearly two weeks on the road through another country, there was just something about seeing that USA sign that made us SO HAPPY! 🇺🇸❤️

We made it back just in time to spend Labor Day weekend outside Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, at a beautiful ranch through Harvest Hosts. 🌲🚍

After all the miles, rough roads, frost heaves, potholes, RV bouncing, and constant movement, we're ready to slow down for a few days and enjoy this beautiful place!

But then... Triple Bogey is headed EAST! ⛳️🚍

Our next big destination, another 2,000 miles away, is TENNESSEE for Bo's U.S. Kids Golf Tennessee State Fall Tournament! ⛳️🏌️‍♂️

Fun travel fact: Traveling by RV gives you the freedom to turn a cross-country drive into dozens of smaller adventures. A recommendation from a local, a random sign, a hidden lake, a small-town bakery, or an unexpected golf course can completely change the trip!

🏔️🚐 We have officially found the SECOND most beautiful drive we've ever experienced!

After all the incredible roads we've traveled, that's saying something. 😂

We spent part of the day driving the Icefields Parkway near Banff, Alberta, and around every single turn, the views somehow got even better.

Towering mountains. 🏔️
Turquoise lakes. 💙
Glaciers. 🧊
Waterfalls. 💦
And scenery that makes you want to pull over every five minutes. 😂

It's easy to understand why the Icefields Parkway is considered one of the most scenic drives in the world. The road stretches through the Canadian Rockies, connecting some of the most incredible mountain landscapes in Banff and Jasper National Parks.

We've been fortunate enough to drive some absolutely breathtaking roads over the last year, but this one has officially earned its spot near the very top of our list.

And now you're probably wondering...

What was #1? 👀😂

We'll give you a hint...

It's in Alaska. 🏔️❤️

🚐⛳️ ONE YEAR OF TRIPLE BOGEY! 🎉

One year ago today, we purchased our RV, Triple Bogey, in Sequim, Washington. And getting her from Washington all the way home to Texas was quite the expedition! 😂

We had no idea then just how many miles, adventures, and memories this RV would give our family.

One year later, we've traveled through 21 states! 🇺🇸

We've crossed mountains, chased sunsets, explored new places, played golf, fished, camped, boondocked, and experienced things we never could have imagined.

And this year, we took us all the way from Texas to Alaska and are working our way back! 🏔️🚐

Looking at the map, we see 21 states. But behind every state is a story, an adventure, and memories made with our kids.

Fun fact: We've already explored 42% of the 50 states with Triple Bogey—and there's a LOT more country left to see!

One year down. Thousands of miles behind us. And we're just getting started. ❤️

Here's to more golf courses, fishing trips, campfires, crazy roads, unexpected detours, and memories we'll talk about for the rest of our lives.

Take the trip. The memories are priceless. 🚐❤️⛳️

🏌️‍♂️⛳️ When you're a 10-year-old golfer and you find nearly a mile of wide-open road in Alaska… you see a fairway. 😂

At one of our stops in Alaska, we found ourselves on a long, empty stretch of road where you could see for what felt like forever.

Naturally, Bo had one question:

“Can I hit a golf ball down it?” 😂

So out came a junk golf ball, and he got his chance to see just how far he could send it! 🏌️‍♂️💥

GOLF FACT: A golf ball hit by a good player can travel well over 200 yards—and the longest drives can go much farther—so when you're hitting on an open road, you'd better make sure there's plenty of visibility and absolutely no traffic! Safety first. 😉

Only in Alaska do you find a road this long and immediately think…

“Perfect. Let's play a hole.” 😂⛳️🏔️

🚐 WE MADE IT TO PRINCE GEORGE! 🇨🇦

After 8 straight days of driving and nearly 2,000 miles, Triple Bogey—and all of us—are officially ready for a little break. 😂

The roads have tested our patience (and our RV suspension 😅), but the scenery along the way has reminded us why we keep doing this. From mountains and lakes to endless stretches of wilderness, this journey has definitely given us plenty to remember.

Tonight we made it to our Harvest Hosts stop in Prince George, BC, and we're hitting pause for a few days. ❤️

We'll take some time to rest, catch up, recharge, and enjoy not having to pack up and drive every morning!

Then on Sunday… we're back on the road. 🚐💨

Travel tip: Long RV travel days add up quickly—not just for the driver, but for the entire rig. Taking planned rest days gives you time to inspect the RV, catch up on maintenance, and recharge before tackling the next stretch of road.

For now, we're enjoying being parked. 😂

Nearly 2,000 miles down in 8 days… and plenty more adventure ahead!
