The outdoor range is now officially open! It has been a confusing battle but it is finally over for this year at least. The official letters from both the West Klickitat Fire Marshall and the city will be posted at the range just in case. Enjoy and be safe!

As of today, August 11th, the outdoor range is closed due to extreme fire danger. The indoor range will still be open for pistol shooting but, as you all know, long rifles of any kind are not allowed. We usually shut down when the Kreps close their property but I had not heard from them. I was contacted by the BWSPD who, in conjunction with the Fire Chief, agree that we should comply.
I appreciate your cooperation and I would suggest that we Pray for Rain!!!

WSBPD will be using the range all day October 29th.

Members,

The outdoor range closure is temporarily lifted depending on the weather conditions. The exceptional rainstorm and the cooler weather should be adequate to allow its use. The Kreps property is still closed to hiking and I would expect that you, as members, will respect that and stay on club property. With hunting season opening in 2 months, I am sure there are many of you who would like to get your fi****ms on target.

The officers and board members trust that all will exercise good judgement while using the range. The Fire Ban pertains to "open" burning, which is not allowed anywhere on club property and has never been an issue except for 1 or 2 controlled burns during regular clean-up.

The Kreps' have informed us that they are closing their ranch property due to the high fire danger. There are also numerous fires burning in the gorge, the latest and closest being near Bickleton, east of Goldendale. Because of this, we will be closing down the outdoor range until further notice. The indoor range will remain open. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter and will let you know when things change.

It is spring and time for the Kreps Ranch to be moving their cattle to spring pasture. They will be using the trail beyond the outdoor range. I urge you to be on alert and extend them the courtesy they deserve while they are doing so. Be watching and listening for them, their livestock and their dogs! Again, BE ALERT!!!

White Salmon Police Department using range on Thursday, October 28th from 10am until sunset.. And that's a good thing. We all want our LEO to be good marksmen.

Good news, kids!

The outdoor range will be opening again on Sunday, September 19th. The burn ban doesn't officially end until September 30th but, according to the the powers that be, the ban pertains to those using burning barrels and having open burning neither of which we participate in at our club. We do close during these high fire risk months as a courtesy to the Kreps Ranch.
