Tomorrow evening, June 23 at 6 pm the gates will be open for the weekly 22 bench rest shoot. Come on out and have some fun, any 22 rimfire rifle, any site, any scope, any ammo.
Shooting will start at 6:30

Tomorrow evening, starting June 9th at 6pm and every Tuesday evening for the next 10 weeks we will be doing the 22-bench rest shoot. It lasts about an hour and half depending on number of participants. so, bring your 22 rifle out, iron sites or scope. It is no pressure, we do score your targets, but you are competing against yourself. plenty of shooters are willing to help with technique.
It is all for fun.

We had a good turn out for the range clean up day. Thanks to all the members who came to help, and even one who is not a member came and helped alot.

Tomorrow morning Saturday, May 2nd at 9 AM is the range clean up/ maintenance day.
we have several things we need help with.
Fix broken wires on fence
tighten fence
check t post wire clips
cardboard new target stands
maintenance of steel targets
replace 400yrd targets with new steel
sweep\vacuum building
mow / weedeat
road maintenance
fix / replace carpet on shooting benches
clean trap house
clean out lawn mower shed
If you see some thing you would like to help with. bring tools you may have and we will see you at the range.

Happy new year.
With that being said. All 2025 memberships to the range have expired.
It is time to renew your membership. here is a link to the web site.

Go to the website and click on membership plans select single, or family and follow the instructions.
You can always go to the Meagher county sheriff's office and renew in person there.
There is also a printable application on the web site you can fill out and mail in.
The code for the range gate has changed today, January 1st 2026

Seasons Greetings

In 2025 The range’s members installed sound dampening on the outdoor rifle range to the cost of $9299.95 which did not include the volunteer labor. This year MCSA received a grant that will reimburse the Association approximately 50%.

Members have also volunteered their time continuously repairing target gongs, ground maintenance, the yearly cleanup day, holding the yearly sight in day, and had multiple shooting events. A new set of shooting benches are in the design phase and should be installed in 2026.

On January 1st, the combination code will be changed. Please sign up for the 2026 membership to receive the new code. Having said that, please do not give the code to nonmembers. We have had multiple members report encounters with people at the range who are not members, but have been given the code. Doing so leaves the Meagher County Sportsmen Association open to liability issues and by paying the fee of $20 and signing up at the sheriff’s department covers this liability issue.

One last thing. Our title is the Meagher County Sportsmen Association. That is a misnomer. We are not affiliated with Meagher County. MCSA is a private membership association.

Friday October 24th starting at 9 am till 4 pm. The range will be open to the public for sight in day. So come out and make sure the rifle is ready for opening day.

Thursday October 16th. 9 am we will need volunteers to come help with the sound mitigation project. This will consist of hanging sound absorbing tile and some baffles from the ceiling. If you can come let us know, we are planning on providing lunch.
Also the rifle range portion will be closed during this time of construction.
