This week’s celebrates the power of food to bring people together and give back.
This weekend, Milwaukee’s Summerfest grounds is hosting the inaugural Freshwater Food & Wine Festival, a celebration of the food, drink, creativity, and people that make our city special. The Jewish Community Pantry is proud to be one of the beneficiaries of the Festival’s Silent Auction, alongside Children's Wisconsin Cooking for Kids WI.

Throughout the weekend, we’ve also had the opportunity to be on the festival grounds, connecting with guests, sharing the mission of the Jewish Community Pantry, and talking about the impact this work has in our community.
For more than 40 years, the Pantry has been here for neighbors facing food insecurity, providing emergency food, resources, and support to individuals and families in the Metcalfe Park and Amani neighborhoods. Every bag of groceries, every conversation, and every connection to additional resources helps ensure our neighbors have the support they need.
We’re grateful to Freshwater Food & Wine Festival for giving us the opportunity to share our mission with a new audience while raising critical support for the work we do every day. Thank you for helping us put tzedakah (justice) and tikkun olam (repairing the world) into action.
