Executive Chef Jason Kina has been with us for awhile now, but his menus are as fresh as ever 🥙
We recently linked up with Chef Kina to hear about some of his influences, his approach to building dishes, and some of his favorite flavors 🍽️
"In my younger days, a dish would have like six or seven components and flavors all over the place," he says. "I've developed a simpler approach with quality ingredients, detailed seasoning of products which creates layered flavors, and complementary sauces and garnishes."

🚨BIG MOUNTAIN FUELS REDUCTION UPDATE 🚨
Today, June 19th will see particularly large impacts to routes frequented by our guests.
Crews continue to fell trees, clear vegetation and move logs across a wide swath of terrain from the Chair 1 corridor to the Corkscrew ski run. For your safety, please heed all signage and stay out of this area.
Trucks have begun hauling logs off the mountain on weekdays. Trucks will move through the Alder Lot from 6-10 a.m. Monday-Friday. Trucks also will be present along the Expressway and Barndance roads during operating hours over the next several weeks, with personnel stationed at trail crossings to facilitate traffic.
Skidders will be moving logs down Russ’s Street between Chappy Hour and Corkscrew, in addition to other activity just below Russ’s Street. Crossing guards are present to ensure safe passage.
Hikers: The Danny On Memorial Trail has been rerouted again for a short time. Starting from the lift plaza, please follow signs and ropes that will guide you onto Russ’s Street until it connects to the original trail near the bottom of Chair 5.
Please look out for skidders moving logs along Russ’s Street today and heed any instructions by mountain staff.
Please note the rerouted Danny On trail is the only way you may hike up and down the mountain. Do not attempt to follow the original Danny On path or hike up the Toni Matt ski run. Yes, this applies before and after operating hours. Even when logging crews are not present, hazards abound and we urge you not to hike through this area.
Mountain bikers: All three sections of the Whitefish Bike Park are open. Trails closed due to logging include Limelight, Freebird and Runaway Train.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
