🚨How about our HOMECOMING QUEEN, Peyton Winfield🚨

This girl simply does it all: Crushes some tennis for us on Tuesday, wins Homecoming Queen on Friday, then turns around and leads the band on the same night. Truly deserved.

And a SHOUTOUT to the other half of the lovebirds, Jake Jetter, on what we could assume sounded like a close second to Homecoming King.

Glad to have these two lead our team.

This is the second time, this season, that our JV avenged our Varsity after a loss. We played some HIGH LEVEL tennis last night, and the coaches’ favorite part… they were all COACHABLE during the big points, striving to get better and better.

SHOUTOUTS:

Candance Craig and Zoey Bezette for getting on top of the net in doubles, and playing high-pace consistency in singles!

Eino Maura and Connor Dennis for posting two of the best records on the team. SOLID singles match play from both!

All of our bottom boys for consistently outplaying opponents and helping pick up big wins against the good teams.

We had a tough match last night. That said, we definitely played to a higher level and took 5 matches to a super tiebreaker. Our mindset on the court was phenomenal. Overall, good night. Now to get ready for playoffs!

🚨Two lightning delays later, your Wildcats are officially PLAYOFF BOUND! 🚨

Man, sitting on the bus for a collective hour, delaying play mid matches, and STILL going back out and keeping our momentum… We had to work hard for it last night, but your Wildcats took care of BUSINESS!

Shout outs:

Sydney Spain for playing through a persisting shoulder injury and still having the best scores all night. Her singles play, especially, was simply unmatched last night.

Jake Dennis for showing out last night, having to step up and win both doubles and singles against players two lines above him.

Kelvin He for his thrilling 10-8 Tiebreaker win to send your Wildcats to playoffs.

Time Change for Free Beginner Tennis Clinic (now from 6:00-7:30pm Tue/Thurs)

We have had SEVERAL parents reaching out saying they’d love to go to the clinics, but couldn’t make the after school time. So we changed it!

Today, we paired up our Varsity players with our Junior Varsity players and put on a fun, chaotic tournament. The competitiveness was incredible and the match play was high level. CONGRATS TO OUR WINNERS who went undefeated!

Gotta give a big shout out to our Freshmen and Sophomores for stepping up to play this week’s Varsity Match against Marshall. They picked up a huge District win to bring our record to 2-1, and have gotten us closer to securing a playoff spot!
