On September 11, 2026, the Whiting Athletic Department will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the 1996 semistate team as well as the 10th anniversary of the 2016 semistate team.

🚨 𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐌 𝐇𝐔𝐃𝐀𝐊 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐃 𝟏𝟓𝐓𝐇 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐓𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐂𝐎𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐒 🚨

Hudak comes to Whiting after spending this past season on the coaching staff at Crown Point, adding another chapter to a coaching career that has included stops at Lake Station, Wheeler, and Hammond Central.

He now takes over a proud Whiting football program looking to turn the page and rebuild following a challenging stretch. The Oilers have been searching for sustained success since the retirement of longtime head coach Jeff Cain after the 2018 season, which marked the program’s last winning year.

Hudak will be tasked with restoring competitiveness and tradition to one of Northwest Indiana’s most storied small-school programs.
