On Stage Theatre is a one stop training facility for Musical Theatre, Glee, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern, Acting, and Voice. We offer every level from beginner to advanced, with our advanced students competing and winning regionally and nationally. The directors bring opportunities to their students such as performing at local events, bringing in guest artists for Master Classes from Broadway and television, taking classes in NYC, and producing full scale musicals. We offer classes for those who want to participate recreationally or take the professional track and prepare students for the very difficult audition process for college BFA programs. Our students have gained acceptance to prestigious summer and college programs with the training and preparation they received at On Stage Theatre.

We are beyond excited to welcome two NEW incredible teachers to our staff this week!

After owning her own studio for 35 years and directing her own ballet company for 29 years, Melissa Kelley Clark is excited to focus on what she loves most about dance: educating and inspiring students.

Melissa remains committed to her own education and continues to train in a variety of dance styles so she can keep growing as an instructor and bring the latest and best to her students. She regularly participates in professional trainings, conventions, and workshops and is a proud member of Dance Masters of America, the Dance Teachers Club of Boston, and the Greater Brockton Dance Teachers Association.

When she is not teaching, Melissa judges regional and national dance competitions, provides private coaching for dancers preparing for YAGP, competitions, and auditions, and teaches master classes and workshops specializing in ballet. She is requested often a guest teacher to bring her expertise to area studios!

Melissa has extensive experience teaching dancers of all ages and levels—from tiny tots to adults and from recreational students to professionals. Although ballet is one of her specialties, she also brings decades of experience and a genuine love for tap, jazz, lyrical, and many other styles of dance. We are thrilled to welcome Melissa and the incredible knowledge, passion, and experience she will bring to our On Stage students!

Alana Rae Sackman

Alana is a theatre educator, director, choreographer, and performer with a passion for helping young artists grow in confidence, creativity, and skill.

Alana holds a Master of Arts in Applied Theatre: Drama in Social, Educational, and Community Contexts from Goldsmiths, University of London, where she graduated in January 2023. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts with a minor in Cinema Studies from Rutgers University.

Her professional experience includes serving as a Director and Teaching Artist with Wheelock Family Theatre, where she specializes in ballet, jazz, musical theatre, and hip hop, as well as directing and choreographing full-length Theatre for Young Audiences productions.

Alana also works with performers individually through monologue coaching and college audition preparation, helping students strengthen their acting technique, make confident artistic choices, and prepare for the next step in their training. She has also served as a Guest Lecturer at Temple University, teaching Acting the Song and sharing her expertise in the connection between acting, storytelling, and musical performance.

Alana brings a well-rounded background in acting, dance, musical theatre, directing, and arts education to the classroom. She is excited to work with the students at On Stage School of Performing Arts and help each performer develop their individual voice while building strong skills.
