Calling all young entrepreneurs! 🛍️🍂

The Youth Services Fall Market is coming back to the Whittier Community Center!

Youth ages 5–17 can register to become a vendor and sell their handmade crafts, artwork, or gently used treasures 🧶🎨🧸

Don’t forget to join us TOMORROW for Chalktastic! 🌈✨

Online registration may be closed, but you can still participate! Artists of all ages can register in person when they arrive at City Hall beginning at 9:00 a.m. Registration is FREE!

Each registered artist will get a 4x4-foot concrete square to transform into their own masterpiece, plus a chalk kit and kneeling pad. 🙌

What a wonderful turnout for our first Grandparents Day celebration! 👵👴🧒

It was so special to see different generations come together for a fun-filled day at the Whittier Senior Center. Families enjoyed storytime with Whittier Public Library, face painting + crafts with Whittier’s Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department, LEGO building, and a delicious lunch together, creating plenty of memories along the way 📚🎨🧱🍽️

This event was a beautiful reminder to cherish every moment with our families and spending quality time together ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our first Grandparents Day one to remember! We can’t wait to celebrate together again 🥰

Join Whittier’s Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department and Whittier Public Library for a FREE family park pop-up on Saturday, September 26, featuring a special presentation on coyote safety and what to do if you spot a coyote in your neighborhood. 🐺

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Lace up, Whittier! Students Run Whittier is back for the fall!

Students in 2nd–8th grade can join City of Whittier Recreation staff for a fun club designed to help young runners prepare for local 5K races. Participants will work on running fundamentals, build confidence, stay active, and train alongside their peers. 🙌

Pumpkin Patch Splash is back for 2026! 🌊🎃

What happens when you put a bunch of pumpkins in the pool? You get one very fun fall afternoon! 🍂

Bring the family to Palm Park Aquatic Center for a day of swimming, splashing, and floating pumpkins. It’s one of those fall events that’s just too fun to miss! 🌊

Our first-ever Grandparents Day celebration is happening this Saturday at the Uptown Whittier Senior Center! 👵👴🧒

Spend the morning together with FREE storytimes from Whittier Public Library, face painting, crafts, a selfie station, lunch, and more. 📚🎨📸

The event is FREE and open to adults ages 55+ and their grandchildren ages 3+. Each grandparent can register with up to three grandchildren.
