Dear fellow Whittier Business owners and residents:

I pray everyone is safe and also your families. I am organizing a new networking group in Whittier called Visionary Business Networker Whittier. Due to COVID-19, we will be hosting the launch event on Zoom online. Please read the below message fro more information.

Dear Visionary Business Networkers,

I appreciate every one of you for joining this exciting new networking community. Even if we haven't met yet, we're in a unique position to support other right now. So I’m writing to you today with a plan.

To help you grow your business in the safest way possible, I am moving our upcoming launch event online.

Instead of meeting in person on Wednesday, please join me for ONLINE networking from 3-5pm PDT.

You can join the Zoom meeting here: authenticnetworker.com/zoom

You’ll meet new people, talk about your business, and schedule follow-up conversations. Best of all, we’ll use the same familiar format as our in-person events.

If you choose to join us, please observe the following guidelines:

Find a quiet location without background noise

Turn on your video so that others can see you

Commit to attend without distractions: avoid driving, walking, or multitasking

Be prepared to share a link to your LinkedIn profile, instead of business cards

Let’s honor social distancing to keep our communities and loved ones healthy. Let’s embrace authentic networking to help keep our businesses healthy.

Until we can meet in person, I look forward to seeing you on Zoom!

In appreciation,

Pashko

P.S. Even if we can't see each other in person, I'm still committed to helping you grow your network. Who would you like to be introduced to? How can I help? Send me a Meetup message, and we’ll schedule a call to talk about your business.
Free Grief group
There are over 40 types of losses that can result in unresolved grief: moving, job loss, graduation, death of a person or pet, divorce, marriage, birth of the first child, a change in financial standing, and the intangible losses (innocence, faith, safety, control, hopes/dreams/ expectations). The Grief Recovery Method (GRM) shows grievers the correct steps to take in order to recover from loss of any kind.

The next 8-week session of the GRM Support Group begins February 5 and meets for 9 consecutive Wednesday evenings. This is not a drop-in group, but rather an action-based program with important learning and sharing each week; your attendance each week is critical to your recovery work. You have until the 3rd Wednesday to enroll
We'll work together to understand why what we've been taught about grief and loss doesn't really help us heal. Then we'll learn how to become complete regarding a loss we've each experienced, and reclaim energy and joy for living in the moment.

A bonus takeaway is that you'll learn how to listen with your heart instead of your head to other grievers in your life. This can dramatically improve your relationships by arming you with the kind of listening skills needed in modern relationships.
So now that the summertime Concerts in the Park are done, the homeless encampment is back at Parnell Park and is growing with each week that goes by.
Was the focus to “clean” the park simply because of the profit to be made?
I would hope that the city would continue to care about our community and this problem returning.
When can we expect to see the amount of care that was taken prior to the concerts return?
Next summer perhaps?
Babies and Music Saturdays 9-10am Infants & 10-11am Toddlers
NEW in-home childcare open in Whittier. M-F from 5:30am to 6:00pm, includes meals and weekly outings
We have some old video game consoles that we want to donate to a kids organization. Anyone know a place in need? We have a Wii, ps3, ps4, Nintendo game cube all with a few games.
Can someone tell me which food vendors are at Central Park concert tonight?
Last nights concert - Selena - was not a community event. Extremely overcrowded with people outside the community. Shame on you
