Everybody wants consistency, but what they really need is functional variability. That’s where skills live.

We’re manipulating distance, trajectory and strike location. Every shot… a different demand… just like on the course.

Today had its frustrating moments, but that’s a sign that we’re being challenged with appropriate levels of difficulty…. And in the end, Jayden Driver hit quite a few crispy little nippers. He was even able to take a few points from me tonight.

Kid’s got gas in the tank, so if we can dial in his wedges and get him throwing darts constantly, he’s going to be hard to stop. He seems hungry too, so Coach Jeffhoward82 and Marion will have a monster on their hands next season.

Yeah, my bread and butter is shortgame, but there’s a LOT to be said for how beneficial speed training is to athletic development, sequencing and a player’s dynamic balance. We’re doing whip-its to hear that speed out front… and bag smacks to work on our release through the ball.

Auditory feedback is a KILLER tool…. And we like making noise in the valley.
