Last Rider appearance at a regional tennis tournament starts soon. Wishing these three good luck today!

Great last day of the District 5-5A Tournament at TCU.

Chaitanya Reddy (boys singles) and Emme Kosub (girls singles) claimed district titles, while Krew Luxton also made it to regionals by placing second in boys singles.

Freshman Gracie Miller got third in girls singles, while Kelvin Qiu and Claire Keating lost a third-set tiebreaker to finish in fourth.

Rider also finished second overall in the boys and girls team standings behind Aledo so we had some hardware to take back.

Thanks for everyone who came out and supported us these last couple days. Regionals is next week!

Girls third place match - Gracie Miller
Mixed doubles third place match - Kelvin Qiu/Claire Keating

Good showing at the NISD Tournament with Krew Luxton and Emme Kosub making the finals and finishing second. Freshman Gracie Miller also battled to a consolation title by winning three matches.

Next up is district.

Today we celebrated our alumni before Rider High School closes in a couple months. Had lots of fun watching past and present Raiders play some tennis on a gorgeous day.

We are only TEN days away from our Rider tennis alumni gathering.

Earned some hardware at the Texoma Slam Tournament this weekend as Emme Kosub won girls A singles, while Chaitanya Reddy and Krew Luxton got second and third, respectively, in boys A singles, both giving eventual winner Kell Castleberry of Vernon a great match.

Congrats to all of our kids, who worked hard playing full matches yesterday!

Our fall team tennis season came to an end this afternoon against a good Midlothian team. It was our final fall team matches for our six seniors.

We’ll take some time off and then start getting ready for the spring.

Beat Everman 10-1 in the first round of the playoffs.

We’ll play Midlothian next in the area round. That match is set up for 10 a.m. Friday in Grapevine.

Excited for this group as we open the playoffs at 2 p.m. Tuesday against Everman. The Raiders will be playing at Saginaw High School.
