Do you have an accountability partner?

One of the things that not only helped me start but continue with my fitness journey was having an accountability partner. In the early days, I would go with a friend… or honestly my friend would drag me! 😂

After she moved, I tried to keep the habit up but felt like a stranger in the gym again. From at home workouts to online challenges, over time, my accountability partner has become a personal trainer! Shout out to her for the photo creds ❤️

So grab a friend, sign up for a class, or try working with a trainer. Starting/maintaining habits can be challenging but community helps!

When I first started my health and fitness journey I wasn’t sure where to begin when it came to food. I struggled and struggled before I came to two conclusions: 1. Start with one small habit. Starting can be the hardest part! 2. If changing what I ate felt too overwhelming then I could start with how much.

A tip that helped me while working on portion control was implementing a “One Bite Rule” or while I was eating out I would try to leave one to two bites on the plate. If you’re just starting out, give this a try and let me know what you think!
