Can I ask you something?
What if your struggle with consistency isn’t always because you need more discipline?
What if you’re simply carrying too much?
Work. Family. Business. Appointments. Responsibilities. Stress. Other people’s needs.
And somewhere in the middle of all of that, you’re also trying to:
Drink more water.
Exercise.
Eat better.
Get enough sleep.
Manage stress.
Take care of yourself.
Sometimes we create health plans for the life we wish we had instead of the life we’re actually living.
That doesn’t mean we give ourselves permission to stay stuck.
It means we get honest about our capacity so we can create healthier habits that actually fit our current season.
💙 So let me ask you:
Where do you feel the most stretched right now: your body, mind, emotions, schedule, family, work, or something else?
You don’t have to shame yourself into becoming healthier. 💙
I’ve been thinking about that today.
Sometimes we believe being hard on ourselves will finally make us change.
“I should be further along.”
“I know better than this.”
“Why can’t I just get it together?”
But shame rarely creates the kind of lasting transformation we’re looking for.
Sometimes we need to slow down long enough to ask:
What do I actually need right now?
More structure?
More rest?
Support?
A smaller goal?
Better boundaries?
Grace to begin again?
Scripture reminds us:
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1
Growth and grace can exist in the same place.
You can acknowledge that something needs to change without tearing yourself down in the process.
💙 Tomorrow is another opportunity to take one faithful step.
September may have started yesterday, but this reminder still stands. 💙
If you’ve been looking at the health goals you set earlier this year thinking, “I should be further along by now…”
Don’t let that thought keep you stuck.
You still have time.
You don’t have to change everything overnight. You don’t need a perfect plan. And you definitely don’t have to wait until January to start again.
Choose ONE next step and start there.
What’s ONE area of your health you want to improve before the end of the year? 👇🏽
Energy? Nutrition? Movement? Sleep? Stress? Weight? Blood sugar?
Let’s talk about it. 💙
Quick health check 👀
Which one is hardest for you to stay consistent with?
💧 Drinking enough water
🥗 Eating well
🚶🏽♀️ Exercise/movement
😴 Getting enough sleep
🧘🏽♀️ Managing stress
💙 Making time for yourself
Drop yours below. 👇🏽
Knowing what to do and actually doing it consistently are two different things. 💙
Instead of asking, “Why can’t I stay disciplined?” try asking, “What’s making this hard for me?”
What’s ONE healthy habit you know would be good for you, but struggle to do consistently?
Can I ask you something?
How many healthy things do you already KNOW you should be doing?
Drink more water.
Move your body.
Eat more nourishing foods.
Get enough sleep.
Manage your stress.
Take your medication as prescribed.
Make time for yourself.
Most of us aren’t walking around thinking,
“Wait…water is good for me?!” 😂
We know.
But knowing and consistently doing are two very different things.
And sometimes when we aren’t following through, we assume the problem is discipline.
“I just need more willpower.”
“I need to stop being lazy.”
“I need to get myself together.”
But what if we got curious instead of critical?
Maybe you’re exhausted.
Maybe your routine doesn’t actually fit your life.
Maybe you’re trying to change too much at once.
Maybe stress sends you reaching for comfort.
Maybe everyone else’s needs keep becoming more urgent than your own.
Maybe you do great for a few days, miss one day, and decide you’ve already messed everything up.
Sometimes the question isn’t:
“Why can’t I be more disciplined?”
It’s:
“What’s making this healthy habit difficult for me to maintain?”
That’s a very different conversation.
And when we understand the barrier, we can start creating solutions that actually fit our lives.
💙 So I’m curious:
What’s ONE healthy habit you know would be good for you, but you have a hard time doing consistently?
No judgment. Let’s talk about it.
Before the first day of September ends…
I want you to release something.
The timeline you thought you’d be on.
Maybe you thought you’d be further along by now.
Healthier.
Stronger.
More disciplined.
Further in your career.
Further in your business.
Further financially.
Further spiritually.
Further healed.
Just…
Further.
And when September shows up, it’s easy to look at the calendar and think:
“I’m running out of time.”
But what if you aren’t behind?
What if God is still working in places you can’t see yet?
Some seasons produce fruit.
Other seasons grow roots.
Both matter.
So instead of entering September asking…
“Why haven’t I accomplished more?”
Try asking:
“God, what are You inviting me to become in this season?”
Maybe this month isn’t about doing MORE.
Maybe it’s about becoming more intentional with what matters.
Your health.
Your peace.
Your relationship with God.
Your family.
Your purpose.
Yourself.
You still have time.
Not time to become perfect.
Time to take your next faithful step.
🙏🏽 Tonight, ask God:
“What deserves more of my attention in this season?”
And then give yourself enough quiet to listen.
💙 What’s ONE word you want to carry with you through September?
September Health Roll Call! 👀💙
If you could choose ONE thing to have more of this month, what are you picking?
⚡ ENERGY
😴 REST
💪🏽 STRENGTH
🥗 BETTER NUTRITION
🧘🏽♀️ LESS STRESS
🙏🏽 PEACE
😂 FUN
❤️ TIME FOR YOURSELF
You can only pick ONE! 👀
What’s your September word?
Can I ask you something?
It’s September 1st.
When you think about the health goals you had at the beginning of this year…
How do you feel?
Proud?
Disappointed?
Somewhere in between?
Maybe you said this would be the year you finally…
Started exercising consistently.
Lost the weight.
Got your blood sugar under control.
Drank more water.
Managed your stress.
Got more sleep.
Started putting yourself back on the list.
And maybe September arrived…
And you’re not where you thought you’d be.
Can I remind you of something?
The year isn’t over.
And more importantly…
You don’t need January 1st to begin again.
You don’t even need Monday.
You need a decision.
One decision that says…
“My health still matters.”
Not:
“I’m changing everything tomorrow.”
Not:
“I’m never eating another piece of cake.” 😂
Not:
“I’m working out every single day.”
Just…
“What’s one thing I can start doing consistently?”
Maybe September is the month you start walking three days a week.
Maybe you finally schedule that doctor’s appointment.
Maybe you start eating breakfast instead of running on coffee until noon.
Maybe you start paying attention to your protein and fiber.
Maybe you go to bed 30 minutes earlier.
Maybe you start saying no to some things so you can finally say yes to yourself.
Small changes don’t look dramatic.
But repeated long enough…
They become your lifestyle.
So we’re not spending September beating ourselves up over what we didn’t do from January through August.
We’re starting from today.
💙 Tell me:
If you could improve ONE area of your health before the end of this year, what would it be?
Energy?
Weight?
Strength?
Nutrition?
Sleep?
Stress?
Blood sugar?
Something else?
Let’s talk about it.
