This post is 100% unsolicited. Ryan doesn't know I am posting this so don't think that it is just a marketing gimmick by him because it is not in any way shape or form. Anyway...

As a business owner, I’m lucky that Fartleks gets to be pretty visible in our community. We have the opportunity to make a small impact on a relatively large number of Wichitans, and that visibility has played a big role in helping us grow by word of mouth.

But I also recognize that there are a lot of local businesses that work more behind the scenes. They may serve a smaller number of people or businesses, but the impact they have on those customers can be huge.

So, I wanted to take a minute to shout out one of those local business owners who has made a tremendous positive impact on Fartleks: Ryan Selenke, owner of Reliant Merchant Services.

We started working with Ryan a little over a year ago, and the difference has been night and day.

For those who don’t know, merchant services, the companies that handle credit card processing, Point of Sale, and related services, can be an extremely competitive industry. Like a lot of small business owners, I initially ended up working with a large nationwide provider.

For the first three years I was in business, merchant services was honestly one of my biggest headaches. Poor communication, equipment failures, difficulty getting problems resolved, and always having that lingering uncertainty about whether I was actually getting the best deal possible.

Since switching to Ryan, those headaches and uncertainties have disappeared.

Having someone local who I can actually reach, who communicates well, and who I trust to look out for my business has been a huge improvement.

So I’m throwing this out there for any other local business owners who might be frustrated with their current merchant services provider or are simply wondering if there’s a better option. Give Ryan a call and support another local business while you’re at it.
