A little information about the Linemen, it was build in a few months with the hard work and dedication of the coaching staff and manager to find some of the best players in the Wichita area as we built this team. The players are from all playing backgrounds and experience who had never played together, had only 2 team practices, 1 scrimmage game and we ensure the fans we will dominate any field we step onto.
Those who know Baseball know things aren't cheap so even little contributions help the team continue to be successful.
Want to sponsor an ad, a game, equipment, or help the team purchase equipment as we continue to fight our way to being the WIBL's 2026 inaugural season Championship team and forever hold a spot in the teams history. We can add you or your business, to the post. We also can add you to the website, give shout outs during the game, etc. check out the website for more information. www.wichita-linemen.com

LINEMEN OPEN INAUGURAL SEASON WITH DOMINANT 20–2 WIN
The Wichita Linemen could not have asked for a much stronger start to their inaugural season.
The Linemen defeated the Wichita Woodpeckers 20–2 on Opening Day, combining an explosive offense with dominant pitching and error-free defense.
The Linemen wasted no time getting to work. The Linemen jumped on the Woodpeckers in the first inning, with Creighton Sanders drawing a bases-loaded walk before Adam Schrag ripped a three-run double. Walks to Victor Zamora and Daniel May brought home two more runs as the Linemen immediately established dominance on the diamond.
The offense kept coming.
The Linemen added five runs on three hits in the third. Zamora singled home a run, Thay Monzon delivered an RBI single, Hunter Clark added another RBI single, and two additional runs crossed following an error by the Woodpeckers.
Another five-run inning followed in the fifth. Bill Hyatt drove home two with a single, Monzon added another RBI single, and Clark drew a bases-loaded walk, helping the Linemen continue to pull away.
By the time it was over, the Linemen had put 20 runs on the scoreboard.
And the pitching staff made sure that was far more than enough.
Adam Schrag: 4 IP | 2 H | 2 R | 7 K
Joseph Salazar: 2 IP | 0 H | 0 R | 6 K
Salazar was nearly untouchable in relief, throwing two hitless, scoreless innings and striking out six.
Together, Schrag and Salazar recorded an incredible 13 strikeouts in six innings.
The offense finished with 10 hits and 13 walks, forcing the Woodpeckers pitching to work throughout the game. Clark and Monzon each collected two hits, while Zamora, Miguel Corona and Schrag each drove in two runs. Lukas Adelman led the team with three walks.
The Linemen were aggressive on the bases as well, stealing four.
Perhaps just as impressive was the defense:
ZERO ERRORS.
The Linemen played clean baseball from beginning to end, with Creighton Sanders recording a team-high eight defensive plays.
FINAL
WICHITA LINEMEN 20
Wichita Woodpeckers 2
10 Hits | 13 Walks | 4 Stolen Bases | 13 Strikeouts | 0 Errors
For the players who took the field today, this one will always mean something a little different.
It wasn’t simply a win.
It was Win No. 1 in Wichita Linemen history.
Thank you to everyone who came to Mulvane and supported these players on Opening Day, and thank you to the Mulvane Recreation Commission and Mulvane Old Settlers for supporting what we’re building.
The first one is in the books.
Wichita Linemen: 1–0.
