Because I do not have the Big Bore Lathe set up yet!

D21 Allis axle housings anyone!?!?! Working on a couple of sets. I have the 1st pair through this stage and need to order Tube for the next order that just came through....

I discovered recently that my spline profile was slightly off on our JD G Chromoly Tube Axles. After a flashlight inspection with a bull gear setting on top of the incorrect splines, I noticed the involute curve was not clearing on the root of the spline on the axle. I made an adjustment on the CAD model profile and made a skin chip pass on the axles that were in process to ensure an accurate installation fit. Axles are gauge checked before they come off of the machine, however the contact area was below the gauge diameter.

After making the splines adjustment, I finished up 2 pair of axles that were in the works. I have another pair of axles AVAILABLE now that have a 7-1/2" offset. A customer decided to change the offset and narrowed everything up 3". I was not going to waste the stock material, so I ran them anyway and built a shorter pair.

I can turn this set around in a few days. I would be willing to shorten them to: 7" or 6-1/2" offset. Otherwise I can built other offsets in 3-4 weeks since I am still in axle mode and will be for a little while.

About 3 years ago, I made an investment in tooling so that I could gun drill deep holes. That investment paid off with the ability to make rhe inside bore of my Chromoly Tube Axles whatever diameter I need, on either end of the axle.

In the early years, I admittedly struggled with an axle that would work in the 560 Farmall's. With the new interior profile, that issue has been conquered. We now have these axles running in Light Limited Super Stock's.

Now the Antique Axles, as well as the LLSS, run a 1.250" bore through the splines and a 1.750" bore down to that interior bearing. Since the design change, there has not been any issues with these axles. I gave it a couple of seasons before I even thought about posting an update to make sure the new design was sufficient for today's horsepower and torque requirements.

Nowadays I am willing to take on just about any axle project. I just acquired a Big Bore Lathe to streamline the Chromoly Tube Axle and Fabricated Axle Housing process. Existing products will be re-engineered with the improved tooling in mind.

Coming very soon, some Allis Chalmer D21 Axles and Housings. As well as Oliver 88 Axle Housings. I am currently designing a "Retro Kit" for existing Oliver Customer's to put our Row Crop Chromoly Tube Axles in the new Housings.

With that said, If there are enough serious inquiries, I will engineer a Housing for the 460's and 560's. These Housings will be tailored for our Axles. FYI, the pictured Axles come in at 39 # per side...

Oliver 77/S77/770 Schtuff. Theses are basically full length housings because of the customer's wide offset. A factory 770 housing (with fender flat) is 75 #. Fender flats are 20-22 when mown off. The new CAP Bros MotorSports housing is 36 # with bearings.

88 parts are in the works. I think a full length 88 housing would be 38 . I will also be building shorter combine length housings, they should be 33-34 #. For customers that currently have our Chromoly Tube Axles, I could configure the full length housings to use your current bearings. Other housings will utilize sealed roller bearings like this pair.

This is the newest addition to the CAP Bros MotorSports Mag style Spindle Mount Front Wheel series. The bearing configuration for this pair is set up for an AC WC/WD/D17 Spindle.
