Hermann win by fall
Denton win by tech fall
Kissling win by fall
Gilman win by major decision
Cage Hatcher and Owen Newell lost and have been eliminated.
Day 1 of state wrestling is in the books. After the dust settled, Parker Landers leads the way pinning his way to the state finals.
Connor Landers fell short in the semis but will be a 3 time state medalists.
Everyone else went 1-1 for the day and will wrestle tomorrow.
The team is currently sitting in 7th place with a lot of points left to score in the consolation rounds.

Parker Landers is making an immediate impact in his first high school season. The Bishop Carroll freshman captured the 5A West Regional title at 106 pounds and enters the state tournament with an impressive 33-3 record. Though this marks his first state appearance, Landers is no stranger to big moments as a three-time USAWKS State Champion.
“After all the long weeks, tough practices, and hard fought matches, I’m excited to get the opportunity to compete and let it fly. Overall just grateful to be at the spot I’m in. Thanks to my coaches, teammates, and family for supporting me this season,” Landers said.
Landers enjoys spending time outdoors when he’s not on the mat, especially bass fishing and hunting. Wrestling success also runs in the family, his older brother, Connor Landers, will be competing in the 5A state tournament as well in the 138-pound bracket.
