WHAT'S HIDING IN YOUR GOLF SWING?

You can see a lot on video. But what’s happening under your feet? That’s a different story.

We recently added Smart2Move 3D Dual Force Plates to the Lab, allowing Coach Jason to measure how a golfer uses the ground throughout the swing — where force is created, when it happens and where it might be leaking.

And we’re already seeing some pretty cool results. One golfer recently picked up about 30 yards simply by learning to use the ground more effectively. No new driver. No “just swing harder.”

Turns out, those yards were already in there!

This is exactly why we measure.

Watching this swing, would you guess that at this point our youngest has only 33% of her pressure on her trail side and 67% on her lead side?

Probably not.

She has a tendency to live on her lead side, and today we used our Smart2Move force plates to help her actually feel what her feet are doing.

We even danced on them. 😂

We worked on pushing toe-to-heel with opposite feet, reversing it, and learning how different movements change the forces she puts into the ground. Then we gave her one simple golf feel: as the hands start to drop in the downswing, feel like she's sitting into a chair and then use the ground to go.

She doesn't need to know what every graph means. She's 9. She needs to move, play, experiment and learn what different movements feel like.

The technology is for us as coaches. It lets us see what the eye can't, measure whether a feel actually changed the movement, and give her something simple she can understand.

We don't guess, we measure.

And sometimes apparently we dance. 😂⛳️

WOMEN'S GOLF HAS A HOME IN WICHITA

There’s something pretty special about being a golf business in the city where the LPGA was born. With the Heritage Classic back in Wichita this week, we’ve been thinking about that a little more than usual.

We’re also raising female golfers ourselves, so creating a place where women and girls feel every bit as at home as the men was never going to be an afterthought at GooD LiFe. The technology doesn’t care who’s swinging the club. Neither do we. If you want to learn, practice, compete, get fit, bring your team in, or just play golf with your friends, you belong here.

Women's golf has deep roots in Wichita -- and we're pretty excited to give the next generation another place to grow theirs.

We love having the Lady Mavs in the Golf Lab each week!

They’re putting in the work — getting their numbers, learning what the data is telling them, and sharpening their games as they head through the season.

NEW FOR SEPTEMBER

In honor of the Heritage Classic returning to Wichita this month, we’re introducing a new promotional membership named for Kansas native and LPGA co-founder Marilynn Smith.

He’s started using RotexMotion in coaching to help golfers actually feel how the body creates rotation and torque in the swing. It’s exposing muscles people didn’t know they had and movements they never realized mattered.

Same goal. Fewer surgical procedures.

The Heritage Classic is back at Rolling Hills Country Club Sept. 8–13, bringing the ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour Championship to Wichita—and fittingly, to the birthplace of the LPGA.

Professional golf tournament. Wichita. The birthplace of the LPGA. That’s a pretty impressive combination.

There are events for juniors and opportunities for all ages to get involved throughout the week. Go watch. Get involved. Maybe try to act like seeing that much talent when you're playing golf is totally normal. 🤩

🏆 LEAGUE WATCH

FRIENDSHIPS ARE BEING TESTED
Our End of Summer League is officially underway. Two-person teams have until September 27 to complete their six 9-hole rounds.

That’s plenty of time to play. And, more importantly, plenty of time to blame the simulator, the lie, the course, the equipment. Pretty much anything except the person holding the club. 😂

(NOTE: You can still crash the party. Grab a scramble partner, get your six rounds in by September 27, and you're in.)
