The Great Plains Nature Center is going to be closed for a while to do some fountain repairs on the building and then some remodeling. The club is going to still be meeting outside the building for a little while and when it starts cooling down meet at a members church. Watch our page and website for those details. In the mean time they are having one heck of a sale at the Nature Center. Here is an idea of some of the things. They are even selling the taxidermy items that were in the building.

A few of us spent the morning helping at the Riverfest fishing derby. What I saw caught were carp, channel catfish and flathead. Sure I missed some. Largest I heard was a 27” carp. Saw a 10” flathead which was actually pretty cool looking with the colorations. Good morning. Glad KDWP invited us to help.
