Two of our Volleyball Athletes: Freshman Karli Martin (1st leg) and sophomore Johanna Fountain (2nd leg) helped break the school record in the 4x100 relay alongside track athletes Julie (3rd leg) and Kiera Smith (4th leg) with a time of 47.99 seconds!

Let’s give these dual-sport athletes a huge round of applause 👏 as they head into the finals for 6A State Track tomorrow morning!

Hey Grizzly Family, We would like for you to give a warm welcome to Coach Thompson, the new C-Team coach for the 2026 season! 💙💛

Coach Thompson grew up in Sedgwick, Kansas, where she played both volleyball and track at Sedgwick High School. She went on to attend Kansas State University, where she competed on the track and field team.

One of Coach Thompson’s remarkable accomplishments includes placing 5th in the shot put at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships in Norman, Oklahoma. Her throw of 53’2.25” ranks her No. 7 in Kansas State history and earned her a qualification spot at the NCAA West Preliminary Meet in Sacramento, California.

Coach Thompson currently teaches Physical Education at Northwest and is excited for the opportunity to be a part of the Grizzly Volleyball Program!
