Most of us are off to KC for SwordStrong 2026. As a result we will be closed this weekend (5/2/2026).

Wish us luck!

And finally Team Wichita Fencing & HEMA Academy took first place at the HFA Spring Team Challenge in KC on 4/12!!

Another set of killers from WFHA. Way to go Addison for 3rd and Noah (and he renewed his C rating) for 5th place.

Midwest HEMA Meetup

We’re bringing the Tournament of Defense Judges, Rules & Fencing Seminar to Wichita on July 18th (9am–4pm), and it’s shaping up to be a powerhouse day of learning, pressure-testing, and leveling up.

We’ve got an incredible lineup:

This seminar also includes official judges certification through Italian USAcli, directed by Francesco Loda—giving you the opportunity to be recognized as a certified judge and compensated at the Tournament of Defense come this November. Whether you want to sharpen your fencing under the Technical Rules Set, step into judging, or deepen your understanding of “hit without being hit,” this is the room to be in.

Family is a tricky word. But at the Academy it bridges generations, brings people together, and shows true commitment to one another.

I have known most of these men for a decade plus and others are new to our fold. But they are all family.
