What a great day for a race. The weather was beautiful and we finished 13.1 miles in 2:12:34. Not sure if thats good but it was a personal best for both of is. Never stop pushing yourself Lawrence Lions and never be afraid to try something new! Everyone have a great summer and I will see you in Aug.

Last night was our final RUNNING CLUB of the 2025–26 school year! 🦁🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Congratulations to all of our runners for an amazing season full of hard work, determination, growth, and countless miles. We are so proud of every student who showed up, pushed themselves, encouraged teammates, and represented the Lawrence Lions with pride.

And best of luck to all of our high school athletes as you head into Regionals and State competitions. Keep chasing your goals and finishing strong.

RUN IT FORWARD
Marathon Kids is a non-profit organization whose mission is to battle childhood in activity. One of the ways they do that is by providing resources to schools and running clubs like ours. The roaring runners utilize them for the badges used for tracking laps, the software that tracks the laps and the awards as students hit different milestones. They’re asking for donations so that they can continue to provide resources to the more than 450,000 students they serve. Any amount helps and if we all chip in some, it can go a long way and we would love to support an organization that has supported us for 10 years. If you were willing to donate anything, we are asking for at least $1. We would greatly appreciate it and donations can be turned into mr. Janzing, Mr. Dohlman or the front office.

Weather update: High of 58°, NE winds at 10 mph, with a “feels like” temperature around 46°. A little chilly for May—but let’s finish strong! 💪

I want to sincerely apologize for the late notice regarding today’s Running Club cancellation. We were just informed this evening about a track meet taking place, which unfortunately conflicts with our scheduled time.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we adjust to this change.

Our final Running Club gathering will take place on May 13, and we’re looking forward to ending the season on a strong and positive note with all of our runners.

Shoutout to this former LION! 🦁

Nathan was with us from the very beginning, and it’s been incredible watching his journey unfold. From Lawrence Elementary to becoming a standout XC & Track athlete in high school, he’s now carrying that momentum into college at Hesston College.

This past weekend, Nathan competed at the Continental Athletic Conference Championship in Miramar, FL—and brought home the win in the 3K steeplechase! 🏆

What an amazing accomplishment. All of Lawrence Elementary is cheering you on, Nathan! Remember… it all starts with that first step 😉
