Thank you Wilber and surrounding communities for supporting our pancake feed!

Your generosity, encouragement, and continued support means so much to our volunteer department.
It’s because of people like you that we are able to continue updating our equipment, strengthen our training, and effectively help our community when you need us most. We would like to also thank our sponsors, Smithfield Foods and Farmers Cooperative for their support which helped to make our event a success!
Thank you!

🚒🧑‍🚒🔥Fire Prevention Week gave us the opportunity to participate in the elementary fire drill at WC. We also shared important information on electric bike and electric scooter safety, and of course fire safety and fire prevention. All students were given handouts in their Friday folders. We ask that parents review the information with their children and encourage safety and the use of helmets. More pictures to come this week as the 4th grade will visit the fire station and we’ll visit the preschool classes.

Today, we pause and remember how 25 years ago, our world changed in a way we could’ve never imagined. We will never forget the lives lost, the families changed forever, and the heroes who ran toward danger. 🇺🇸 9/11/01. We Will Never Forget.

Tonight members from DeWitt,
Clatonia, Dorchester, & Wilber held a joint training session. They ran 3 different EMS scenarios focusing on removing patients from vehicles and assessing their injuries. It was great to train with our neighbors. Dorchester Volunteer Fire Department DeWitt Fire & Rescue Clatonia Fire & Rescue Support Page

Last night our department trained with the rescue airbags to practice our cribbing and stabilization tactics. One example of how we can use these tools is to allow us to lift and free trapped victims from underneath heavy machinery.
