The whistle is earned. Never expected!

Three weeks into the summer, Intern Coach Isaiah has done exactly that.

He’s stepped in, led sessions with confidence, built meaningful relationships with our athletes, embraced the standard, and continues to grow into the coach he’s set out to become.

This week, that work was recognized as Coach Connor passed down one of our favorite TFP traditions: the FOX 40 Classic coaching whistle.

At TFP, the whistle isn’t a piece of equipment. It’s a symbol of trust, leadership, responsibility, and the standard we expect from every coach who wears it. You don’t get it on Day 1. You earn it through your actions.

Congratulations to Coach Isaiah, a Springfield native and Avila University senior pursuing a career in strength & conditioning. You’ve earned this moment.

5AM starts. 5 days a week.

Halfway through the college summer doesn’t mean it’s time to coast. It means it’s time to double down!!!

This week, Coach reminded our college athletes that performance isn’t just built under the bar. It’s built through the choices you make every day.

We GET to work hard!

But we can’t forget to recover and prioritize our mental wellbeing just as intentionally.

The best athletes learn to balance training, nutrition, sleep, relationships, and their mental health. They understand that burnout isn’t a badge of honor, and neither is cutting corners.

Your body and your mind are your greatest performance tools. Take care of both!

The athletes who separate themselves this fall won’t just be the strongest or fastest. They’ll be the ones who stayed consistent, managed their priorities, and showed up every day with purpose.

Keep stacking days, kids!

The work you’re putting in now is creating the athlete you’ll become.

Week 1 is almost done!

Before you go to bed tonight, take one last look in the mirror.

Really look.

Because the athlete staring back at you today is someone you’ll never see again.

Over the next eight weeks, you’ll earn a faster first step. A stronger body. More confidence. More resilience. More belief in yourself. You’ll do things that are hard, and you’ll become someone you’re proud of.

So take a moment and say goodbye to the athlete you are today.

The version of you standing in that mirror right now is about to become someone stronger, tougher, and better prepared for the season ahead.

The work has begun.

Let’s have a great summer.
