Happy Thursday everyone! Check out Ryan demonstrating 2 different variations of the Bulgarian split squat.
1. The hip dominant movement will help stabilize the knee & reduce angle if someone is having knee pain or is limited in their range of motion. It also emphasizes the hamstrings.
2. The traditional movement mirrors similar angles to a lunge with the benefit of being closed chain & will recruit more glute activation. Treat yourself & give both a try 🦿🔥

We’re halfway through the work week & it’s a perfect day to get a good workout in. Here are some great exercises you can knock out at home, in the gym or at a park. All you need is a kettlebell or dumbbell. 💪🏼
3 rounds of each:
• 30 kettlebell swings
• 30 knees to elbows
• 30 walking lunges each leg
• 30 modified push-ups
• 30 jackknifes. (15 each side)

This is 14 year old Charlie rocking out 165lbs on the trap bar! She’s increased her original deadlift from 75lbs which is super impressive. Her goal is to make varsity softball her freshman year at high school & increase her pitching velocity. Keep up the good work Charlie! You’re killing it. 🔥

This is Jim. He’s 62. We’ve been training together for 7 years! He was previously a marathon runner until he started having issues with back spasms, & his knees, one of which required surgery. We started building back quality movement patterns & strength to minimize pain & reduce injuries. He has no current limitations & is strong under a barbell! His goals are to maintain muscle mass, strength & decrease risk of injuries. Way to go Jim!
