Schedule: Weekday Mornings (Monday – Friday, approx. 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM; exact hours may vary)

Experience: Ice resurfacer experience preferred but not required (we will train the right candidate!)

🏒 DVHL SEASON PREVIEW: WILKES-BARRE JR. PENS

The 2026–27 DVHL Season Preview Series continues with the Wilkes-Barre Jr. Pens — a program built on nearly three decades of tradition and focused on developing the next generation of hockey players.

Built on Tradition. Driven by Development.

Founded in 1997, the Jr. Pens enter the season with nine travel teams and representation at every major travel age level from 8U through 18U. With AA opportunities at both 14U and 16U, the organization has created a competitive pathway that allows players to continue challenging themselves as they develop.

At the center of the program is The Jr. Pens Way — five values that shape expectations throughout the organization:

Respect. Accountability. Teamwork. Sportsmanship. Community.

The Jr. Pens also enjoy a unique connection to professional hockey through their longstanding relationship with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, giving young players and families a direct link to the professional game in their own community.

This season’s theme is Momentum — continuing to develop players, compete against strong DVHL opponents, and represent Northeastern Pennsylvania with pride.

🚨🏒 IMPORTANT FALL YOUTH LEAGUE ANNOUNCEMENT! 🏒🚨

⏰ REGISTRATION DEADLINE: THIS MONDAY, AUGUST 17TH!

If your player is planning to hit the dek this fall, we need you registered by Monday! This gives us time to get teams squared away and jerseys ordered before the season begins.

📅 First Games: Sunday, August 30th
🏒 Games: Mostly Sunday mornings with a few exceptions
💪 Practices: Tuesday evenings
👦 Ages 4–7/8
🧒 Ages 8/9–15

🌳 No skating. Minimum equipment required.
Whether your player is brand new to hockey or already has experience, our youth dek hockey league is a great way for players of all skill levels to learn, compete, make friends, and enjoy the game in the great outdoors! ☀️🏒
