NRA Basic Pistol Course

This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for the safe use of a pistol.
This course is approx. eight hours long and includes classroom and range time.
It is an ideal place to start in your fi****ms training journey!

Topics covered:
-NRA’s rules for safe gun handling
-Pistol parts and operation
-Am******on
-Shooting fundamentals
-Range rules
-Maintenance
*Fi****ms and am******on are provided

Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook and upon successful completion of the Course, students will receive a course completion certificate.

📝 How Nominations Will Be Judged
Submissions will be graded on standard essay criteria, focusing on:
• Clarity & Effort: How well you share their story.
• Impact & Need: The compassionate reason why this training and protection package will meaningfully impact their life.

📅 Important Details & Rules
• Nomination Window: Today through August 31st
• Eligibility: Nominees must be legally eligible to own and possess a fi***rm in Pennsylvania and must pass all standard state and federal background checks (NICS) at the time of transfer.
• Age Limit: Must be 21 years or older to be nominated.
