The Institute for Dance, Inc We are a non-profit dance studio providing classes in multiple dance styles to youth & adults.

Our mission is to support our community by instilling the love of dance and performance through teachers who value, nurture, correct and encourage student potential. We will accomplish our Mission by encouraging:
--Students to become better dancers in discipline, technique and artistic expression;
--Students who grow to be confident, ambitious, poised and creative individuals;
--Students to develop an appreciation for community enrichment by improving the health and quality of life of those they meet.

Congratulations to iDance student Lily R. who trained at The Rock School’s ballet intensive in Philadelphia this summer. In 2026, Lily performed with The Movement Ballet at ADC IBC Chicago, as well as YAGP semi-finals in Pittsburgh and Washington, DC. iDance is very proud of Lily and her accomplishments. Brava!

Start your new dance year off with a master class in contemporary ballet! The Movement Ballet welcomes ALL dancers on Tuesday, August 18: “Back to the Barre” Master Class in Contemporary Ballet with Nirvan Singh (Detroit- and NYC-based professional choreographer and dancer)
Class 1, age 8-12, 10:00-11:30 am
Class 2, age 13+, 1:30-3:00 pm
Please pre-register for the age-appropriate class using the QR code and pay at the door ($20.00). TMB looks forward to beginning a fantastic dance year with you!
