I read some NY/Penn teams might merge with the low Atlantic South Atlantic League as the Northern Division....they mentioned State College but no mention of Williamsport yet....the Morning Call news.
I had a dream the other night that I was at a Cutters game when an an announcement came over the P.A. to show you MVP Club card at any concession stand and get a discount. As I looked in all my pockets, I realized I had forgotten to pick up my card; in fact, I hadn't even picked up my season tickets! I then woke up and realized that there was still (hopefully) a little over a month until the 2020 season began.

September 10, 2003-

Game 2 of the NYPL Championship Series in Brooklyn is a nail-biter tied 3-3 after 9 innings. In the top of the 11th RF Anthony Bocchino singles and advances to 2nd on a groundout. Then light-hitting C Milver Reyes singles to left field to score Bocchino giving the Cutters a 4-3 lead and the eventual NYPL Championship. Cutters WIN 2 games to none over Brooklyn!

The Cutters would go 4-0 in the playoffs to cap a magical season and grab their second NYPL championship in 3 years.

September 9, 2003-

Game 1 of the NYPL Championship Series. Williamsport vs. Brooklyn. Historic Bowman Field. The Cutters score 5 runs in the 2nd to take an early lead that they never relinquished on the way to a 7-2 victory in the best-of-three series for the crown. CF Nyjer Morgan brought home 3 runs with a triple in that big 2nd inning.

The teams travel to Brooklyn for games 2 & 3 (if needed).

An off day for both teams in advance of the 2003 NYPL Championship Series between the Brooklyn Cyclones and the Williamsport Crosscutters. The 2 teams were separated by just 1.5 games in the regular season McNamara Division standings. The Cutters announce that LHP Tom Gorzelanny will start game 1 in Williamsport.

The Cutters get 2 days off before the NYPL Championship Series starts on the 9th in Williamsport. In game 3 of the other semifinal matchup, Brooklyn edges Oneonta 3-2, setting up a Williamsport vs. Brooklyn Championship Series for the 2nd time in 3 years.

September 6, 2003 at Auburn-

In game 2 of the semifinals in Auburn, NY, the Cutters score 4 runs in the top of the first, backed by a 3-run homer by DH Adam Boeve, on the way to a series clinching 6-3 victory over the Doubledays.

The Cutters win the semifinal series 2 games to 0 and face the winner of the Brooklyn vs. Oneonta semifinal for the NYPL championship starting on the 9th.

September 5, 2003 vs. Auburn-

Game one of the best-of-five NYPL semifinals ends in exciting fashion at “The Bow” as the Cutters break a 2-2 tie with a run in the bottom of the 9th to beat Auburn in a walk-off 3-2.

Williamsport manages only 4 hits and commits 5 errors while still taking a 1-0 lead in the semifinals.

The Cutters hold a short workout at Bowman Field in advance of the NYPL playoffs. The Cutters get set to host the Auburn Doubledays, the winner of the Pinckney Division and owners of the best regular season record in the league at 56-18. This will mark Williamsport’s 3rd straight playoff appearance.

September 3, 2003 at Aberdeen-

Having secured a spot in the playoffs, the Cutters rest most of their starters in the final game of the regular season, a 7-2 loss in 7 innings. CF Nyjer Morgan ends up 2nd in the batting race (.343) and led the league in hits with 92 which still stands as a Williamsport short season record. The Cutters return home to open the NYPL playoffs on Sept. 5.

The Cutters travel to Aberdeen for their final series of the regular season having clinched the NYPL Wild Card playoff spot. In a rain-shortened 7-inning game, Williamsport prevails 6-3. The Cutters will face Pinckney Division pennant winner Auburn in a best of 5 series starting Sept. 5.

Williamsport drops a 4-3 decision to Tri-City with over 2,800 fans in attendance at Bowman Field. 30 lucky fans competed in a grand prize Baseball Bingo game with the winner going on a trip for two to Las Vegas.

August 30, 2003 vs. Tri-City-

Williamsport’s winning streak is snapped at six after a 5-4 loss to Tri-City on Eric Hinske Bobblehead Night. 3 Cutters errors contributed to 2 unearned runs for the ValleyCats. 2B Mike Cockrell drove in 2 Cutters runs.
