It was hard to see at first but I found the hidden beauty in these boards. These were the sides of an old piano made around 1913. They didn't look like much at first but when I took a closer look a the veneer I noticed it. Beautiful book matched black walnut highly figured veneers. I'm going to use these for a challenge coin display that I'm building for a fireman that I know.

This is a memorial bench that I am working on for a local family. Their last one was damaged by the last tornado in Williamson. I'm putting the final coats of finish then I'll mount them to the original base. It's made of locally sourced white oak and inlayed with maple repurposed from a 1930's piano, trimmed in walnut. I can't wait to see how this one turns out. Thank you for letting me honor you son.

Our oldest daughter left the nest and moved to Georgia. She asked for a step stool because apparently the real world isn't built for someone her size. Lol. I just had to make her a nicer than normal one just because I can of course. This one is made from wood repurposed from a 1930's roll top desk someone was going to throw out. The top is the original tiger oak veneer. Since I'm not there to annoy her every day I decided to offset the engraving just to bug her OCD every time she reads it. I love you Alyssa.

My hat goes off to the old school carpenters who did and still do timber framing. I made this 7ft cross for our church using mostly hand tools and it definitely whooped me! It's made from 150 year old barn beams from the Paster's home town of Byron. The old cross at the entrance of the parking lot was needing an upgrade so I decided to upgrade it .

Our oldest daughter moved into her first place and is collecting new recipes. I figured why not make her a nice place to put them. The sides are poplar from an antique piano. The top and bottom are wenge.

Every year I make items to be auctioned off for several charities. This is one of my favorite ones. I've been friends with these guys long before my stroke and woodworking days and they are a great bunch. Here in my donation this year. This endgrain cutting board is 16x14x2in thick. It's made from maple from a player piano and the dark walnut came from the side panels of a pump organ made in the late 1890's. I hope it does well for them. Go on out and make a bid or just go to help this little girl out. Thank you agan Mike Uniball Harrington for letting me be a part of the auction. I'm honored always.

This custom ordered fireman's cross challenge coin display is being delivered today. It's made of oak from a 1937 piano. If you're a fireman or knows someone who is I would be happy to make one for you also.

I take pride that I can do most of my woodworking with tools that are not the most expensive. With one exception. I did splurge on this one. As you can see from the dust it gets used often. Lol. It took a lot of cutting board sales to earn it but it's paid for itself many times now.
