The Northtown Center at Amherst, a 185,000 square-foot multi-use sport facility, was completed in 1997.
The Northtown Center features four ice rinks for figure skating, hockey and other on-ice events. The Northtown Center also houses a sports training & fitness center along with equipment and sports apparel sales and service. The facility also contains restaurants and multi-use conference spaces. The facility operates 22 hours per day, 365 days per year, employs approximately 40 full-time employees, and host nearly 2 million public visitors.

Our dedicated and hardworking team is tasked with running the maintenance of the ice facility complex and surrounding grounds. Learn how to operate an ice resurfacer, cut the ice and help maintain our beautiful community rinks and Northtown Center complex.
