Industry standard pricing' is keeping you broke.
I'll say it.
Because every time a woman tells me she priced herself based on 'what others in her space charge,' I want to ask:
Who decided they were the benchmark?
You are not standard.
Your 20 years of experience is not standard.
Your specific methodology is not standard.
The results your clients get with you? Not. Standard.
The moment you price yourself against the market instead of against your value
You set your price based on the transformation you deliver.
Full stop.
What's a result you've helped a client achieve that was genuinely extraordinary?

In a world full of business noise, hot takes, and endless "hacks," the real growth always happens in the quiet insights.. the small seeds of wisdom that change how you lead, decide, and build.
Every week, I sit down to write Seeds of Wisdom.
Itโs a brief, grounded reflection on strategy, leadership, and building a business that honors both your ambition and your sanity. No fluff, no rigid tactics.. just one thoughtful perspective to help you navigate the week with clarity.

July is the garden's most generous month.
Everything I planted is producing now.
Zucchini. Tomatoes. The Mongolian Giant sunflowers threatening to eat the house.
And every year, this abundance season reminds me to do the same thing in my business:
Take stock.
Not a year-end review. A mid-year one.
Because by now you have enough data to know:
โ What's working โ and what's just filling time
โ Which clients energize you โ and which ones drain you
โ Which offers are landing โ and which need a rethink before Q4
The mid-year check-in is when I catch things early enough to actually adjust.
3 questions I sit with every July:
1. What's produced the most fruit this year โ and am I doubling down on it?
2. What looked good on paper but hasn't grown the way I hoped?
3. What do I want to have harvested by December?

By early August, the garden begins to tell the truth about the season.
The tomatoes are ripening. The squash plants are stretching in every direction. The raspberries have come and gone. Some crops are producing more than expected, while others are struggling.
This is the time of year when I begin gathering what is ready.
But harvesting is not only about picking what has grown.
As I move through the garden, I am also paying attention.
๐ฃ Which varieties produced the best fruit?
๐ฃ What was damaged by too much rain, too little rain, insects, poor soil, or conditions I could not control?
๐ฃ What would I do differently next year?
The harvest is not just about what I receive from the garden.
It is also about what I am learning.
The same is true in business.
By August, enough of the year has passed for us to see patterns.
If you have been tracking your revenue, inquiries, conversions, referrals, client retention, and other important numbers, you probably have enough information by now to know what is working and what is not.
You may not have every answer.
You can begin to see where your clients are coming from, which offers are generating revenue, what people are responding to, and where you may be putting in effort without receiving enough in return.
This is part of receiving the harvest too.
It means being willing to look honestly at what your business has produced.

The circle for Your True Nature is almost complete.
There are only 2 spaces remaining.
I will not say much more than this.
If you have been feeling the pull โ toward this retreat, toward this work, toward the part of yourself that already knows something is ready to deepen โ this is the moment.
July 31 to August 2.
Honey Dew Homestead, Williston, Vermont.
The part of you that knows may not shout.
It may arrive as a pull. A quiet yes. A sense that this is the next right place to be.
If that is what you are feeling โ I invite you to claim one of these final spaces now.
Link in comments.

There is a season when the seed is ready.
Not almost ready.
Not nearly ready.
Ready.
You can keep gathering more information. You can keep watching to see if the timing gets cleaner, the path gets clearer, the certainty gets louder.
Or you can recognize that the pull you have been feeling is its own form of readiness.
Your True Nature: Co-Creating with the Unseen Realm gathers July 31 to August 2 at Honey Dew Homestead in Williston, Vermont.
The circle is almost full. The remaining spaces are real and limited.
This retreat is for the woman who knows there is more โ and is ready to stop treating that knowing as optional.
Enrollment details are in the comments. Or send me a message and let's talk.

The Mongolian Giants are almost ready.
July in Vermont means the sunflowers are at their peak โ 10-foot stalks, heads the size of dinner plates.
And every year they teach me something about business.
Sunflowers are coded for their people.
They track the sun faithfully, all season long. And when they're done, they signal exactly who they're for โ the birds, the bees, the seeds.
Your marketing should work the same way.
Not broadcast to everyone. Designed for your specific people.
3 questions worth sitting with this week:
๐ป How fluent are you in the specific language your ideal clients use to describe their challenges?
๐ป Are you tracking the natural cycles of your industry โ and showing up at the right moment?
๐ป What unexpected gift has shown up in your business recently โ and is it aligned with your core mission?
That last one is worth sitting with honestly.

I have been spending time at Honey Dew Homestead this week, and I keep thinking about the women who will be gathering here in just one week.
There is something about this land that does part of the work before the retreat even begins.
The quiet is different here. The light in the morning comes through the trees at a particular angle. The ground underfoot feels like it has been holding stories for a long time.
I have been preparing the space โ not just logistically, but energetically. Setting intentions for the circle. Listening to what the land wants to offer.
If you have been on the edge of saying yes to Your True Nature, I want you to know โ the space is ready for you.
We have just a few places remaining.
July 31 to August 2. Williston, Vermont.
Comment below and I will send you the details.

She called it her 'squirrel mind.'
Big ideas. Important work. A lot she wanted to accomplish.
But her attention was being pulled in 17 directions at once.
Instead of making progress, she was spinning.
When Nicole came to me, we didn't tackle everything at once. We focused on what actually mattered โ broke her goals into clear, manageable steps, and created a way for her to stay grounded.
Here's what she said:
'Things that once looked impossibly complex feel tangible and achievable. If you want a coach who knows exactly what needs to happen for you to succeed โ work with Markey.'
โ Dr. Nicole Brisson
The squirrel mind doesn't need to be caged. It needs a structure that works with it, not against it.
Are you spinning right now โ or moving forward?

When I share something about this retreat, I notice something happening in the comments and in my messages.
Women are tagging other women.
Sending the link quietly to someone they know.
Writing things like "this is you" or "have you seen this?"
There is something about this kind of work that makes women immediately think of someone else who would understand the longing behind it.
If that is happening for you right now โ if someone came to mind as you read about Your True Nature โ I want you to know that you and a friend can attend together for $2,500 total instead of the regular $3,000.
That is a $500 saving between you.
You will each have your own full retreat experience. Your own private Akashic Record session with me after the weekend. Your own personally selected dowsing tool to take home.
And you will have someone to call on the drive home. Someone who was there. Someone who can hold the thread of what opened for you when daily life tries to pull it away.
Some experiences are made richer by sharing them.
If you and a friend are both feeling the pull, the circle is still open โ but not for long.
Details in the comments. Or reply here and I will send them directly.
Trust what you know,
Markey
