EDGE Senior Spotlight 🎓🌟

Senior Nora Tatro was new to our team in September, however, it felt like she had been part of the team for years. Nora is spunky, honest, and never afraid to tell it like it is. She brings a straightforward attitude to every practice and competition. Day after day, she shows up ready to train, improve, and push herself to new levels.

This fall, Nora will continue her academic and athletic journey at Springfield College, where she will join the swim team while pursuing a 3+3 Physical Therapy program.

Once an EDGE swimmer, always an EDGE swimmer!

This past weekend we celebrated our 4 graduating Seniors! First up, Senior Elsa Olafsdottir! Elsa will be attending Denison University this fall and will be continuing her swimming journey on their club team! We are going to miss our 200 Stroke Queen, and we hope she finds another teammate who will reminder her of the intervals and tells her what the set is. Yay Elsa! Go EDGE!

This Saturday we traveled to Montreal to train at the Olympic Park Sports Centre to be able to train in a 50meter pool! We trained hard, worked on all of our details, and started preparing to race Long Course again in a few weeks! Way to go EDGE!

2 weekends in a row of long course racing! Our team crushed it this weekend at Beverly, MA! Growth doesn’t always come from comfortable races: it comes from stepping up to tough event lineups, trying new events, and pushing through challenges. This part of the season is about testing limits, persevering through hard moments, and learning with every swim as we continue to grow. We’re embracing the process and heading into a strong training block with purpose, confidence, and momentum. Let’s Go EDGE!

We had so much fun at our first Long Course meet of the season! We raced at MIT this weekend. In the middle of some really hard training we raced hard, focused on the details, had awesome effort, and had great mindsets! Many of us swam new events for the first time, earned best times and earned in season best times! 6 year old Lucas Neaga was the youngest athlete in the meet, the only 6 year old, and he raced the 100bk and 100fr for the first time ever, way to go Lucas! Let’s go EDGE!

Before our first Long Course meet of the season next weekend in Massachusetts, we’re in Montreal getting some Long Course training in! We’re at the 1976 Olympic Pool! How crazy is it that 2hrs away and International is our closest opportunity to train and race in a 50meter pool?! Awesome job to our athletes taking advance of this opportunity! Let’s Go EDGE!
