Race Recap: CKNA East Round 3 at NJMP

Big weekend of learning for the LSS crew.

Zach got in some fast laps during Friday practice in Sr Light but had to sit the rest of the weekend out with a nagging hernia, shifting focus to the team and coaching for Saturday and Sunday.

Re*****on Davis (Kid Kart) - Fast time in both features. Bounced back from some issues Saturday to grab P2 on Sunday. Super proud of her progress, and the race IQ she showed during our track walk was impressive for a kid karter.

Dylan Callahan (Sr Light) - Had top 5 pace all weekend but luck wasn’t on his side. Started P7 in the final and got pushed off track on lap one.

Chase Lundari (Sr Light) - Showed a lot of mental strength through an up and down weekend. Not every weekend goes your way, but he handled it well and came away with a solid P13 in the feature. He’ll be stronger for the next one.

Jake Snyder (Sr Light) - Missed Friday practice but got up to speed quickly. Bounced back from a mechanical issue in the heats to finish P12 out of 25 karts.

TJ Gillen (Sr Light/Medium) - Fast all weekend. Some unavoidable incidents in front of him hurt his finishes, but still earned the hard charger award in both light and medium and brought home a P3.

Jacob Gibbons (Sportsman) - Took the win this weekend. We got to do some video coaching with him at NJMP the other week and it’s awesome to see him put it all together.

Shoutout to Bryan Furey for getting on the podium in Legends and Brooks Kilchenstein for getting out there and hitting personal bests.

Also great to see other MGMs getting it done with Sydney Miller winning in Junior and Brady Atwood sweeping Medium and Heavy.

We’re heading to Batavia, OH this weekend for the CKNA Summer Nationals at Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati! We have drivers representing the LSS tent across four classes. Time to get to work.

A second and a pair of third place finishes last weekend at Summit Point. Great results for being the first time at a road race for some of these drivers!

Race Recap: NKC at NJMP

Strong showing for the LSS crew at NJMP this weekend.

Jake Snyder - P2 in qualifying and P2 in the feature, chasing down the leader all race.

Chase Lundari - Qualified on pole and ran with the lead pack all day. A last lap incident knocked him back to P8, but the speed was there.

John Samson - New to sprint karting from rentals, and improved every session. Looking forward to building on that next weekend.

Jean Villao - Joined us for the first time but got hit with some mechanical issues. We'll get his maintenance dialed in for the next one.

THIS SATURDAY — NKC at NJMP!
We're at New Jersey Motorsports Park this Saturday for the Northeast Karting Challenge.

NEXT WEEKEND: The Woodbridge Kart Club and Northeast Karting Challenge come together for a joint race at Summit Point on the Shenandoah Circuit, July 25-26.

And looking ahead — we're heading to the CKNA Summer Nationals at Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati, July 31 - August 2. Tent is almost full but we could squeeze in a couple more. Reach out if you want in!

Big result for Remi Davis this past Saturday, first place at Nicholson Speedway.

We ran a private coaching day with Remi there back in May. She picked things up fast and shaved real time off her lap that day. Since then she's kept putting in the laps, and it shows.

Great to watch her progress. Looking forward to working with her again.

Race Recap: CKNA East at LaFayette Motorsports Park

Hot and wet 4th of July weekend at LaFayette. Here's how the LSS crew ran.

Wyatt Fink (LO206 Jr) - P3 Saturday, P2 Sunday with a fast time pole award. Came across the line side by side for the win and just missed it.

Chase Lundari (Sr Lite) - First divisional race and only half a second off some of the top drivers on the east coast after one year of karting. Huge learning weekend and we left way better than where we started.

Dylan Callahan (Sr Lite) - Showed real speed in qualifying with P4 and P6. Some racing incidents limited his finishing positions, but the pace is there.

Michael Robbins (Sr Heavy) - Battled mechanical gremlins all weekend. Didn't start the Saturday final, but got things sorted Sunday and came home P5.

A lot learned, a lot to build on. See you at the next one.

The CKNA East race on July 3rd-5th has moved to LaFayette Motorsports Park. Even with the venue change, Linsell Speed Shop will still be there. Excited to give LaFayette a visit.

We still have tent space available for the weekend and are offering a la carte coaching and support services, along with Vega tires and MGM parts for purchase trackside. We also still have one arrive and drive spot open for the weekend.

Race Recap: CKC Rounds 3 & 4 at Summit Point 🏁

A lot of lessons learned on and off the track this weekend. Keeping it to the highlights.

Pro 206 Sr:
Chase Lundari picked up a P3 Saturday and a win on Sunday. Jake Snyder continued his progress with P4 Saturday and P2 Sunday. Two podiums in one weekend for both guys. Michael Robbins took the win on Saturday.

Kid Kart:
Re*****on Davis grabbed P2 Saturday and P3 Sunday, picking up more speed each session and closing the gap to the front.

206 Masters:
Shoutout to Steven Grant who swept the weekend with wins on both Saturday and Sunday.

Also want to recognize Riley Morgan for getting some good sprint seat time even though scheduling didn't work out for the full weekend, Nathaniel Thompson who qualified well before having to leave early. Also was happy to give a hand to John David Snyder who was able to get a solid 3rd place.

Also thanks to Bill Gerland at 991 Race Engines for the help sorting out some carb issues, and to the CKC staff for putting on another good weekend of racing despite the weather again.

Looking forward to some good racing at the next CKC round in August.
