We’re using BJU Press Life Science this year with my youngest, and it has been his favorite class this year!

The lessons are engaging, the guided notes are helpful, and I love how the course builds a strong foundation for high school Biology—all from a Biblical worldview.

And of course, Mr. Black finishing the video lessons with the Joke-of-the-Day is always a favorite!

Such a great science class!

Homeschool Would You Rather?

Okay, here are MY answers…

MORNING — Let’s knock it out and get it done!
MATH — Give me an answer that is either RIGHT or WRONG. No wondering if that paragraph “needs a little more detail.”
SCIENCE EXPERIMENT — As long as “experiment” doesn’t translate to “Mom, we need 14 supplies you’ve never heard of.”
FRACTIONS — I’ll take ¾ over diagramming a sentence any day!
JUST DEPENDS — Some days we need a field trip. Some days staying home in comfy clothes absolutely counts as the educational plan.

BJU Press World Regions (for 3rd Grade) was one of those classes that I enjoyed right along with my kids!

It goes beyond simply learning countries, capitals, and maps. Students explore some pretty big questions about culture, government, citizenship, economics, religion, and the world God created.

Definitely a course I enjoyed teaching and learning alongside my kids.

So many “news” this time of year.

New grades. New school year. New schedules. New adventures. And somehow, this is the first year I don’t have a kiddo in elementary school. 😢 How did that happen so fast?

Every year it feels like time speeds up just a little more instead of slowing down. The days that once seemed so long suddenly feel way too short.

So this year, I want to remember to slow down. Take the pictures. Go on the adventures. Say yes when we can. Laugh a lot. Enjoy the ordinary days. Make a million memories along the way.

Because these really are the days God gave us, and I don’t want to let them slip away.

The homeschool year is officially underway when the schedule is already on version 3.0 and something important has vanished. We may not know where the workbook is…but apparently everyone knows exactly when the next break is.

Just checking in—how’s it going so far? Are you finding a good rhythm for your family yet?

🧬 Life Science... take THREE! 🎬😄

This is my third year in a row teaching BJU Press Life Science—but this time it's with kiddo #3! ❤️

I still get just as excited for the hands-on labs as the kids do!

One of my favorite parts of this course is watching students bring science to life through creative labs and activities. Learning really sticks when they can see it, build it, and experience it.

Here's to another year of curiosity, discovery, and making science unforgettable! 🔬✨
