I guess we didn't level them just right because we didn't pull off a win but we did score a top ten finish in The Bone Suckin Sauce King of the Cape Open King Mackerel Tournament this past weekend.

The Morehead City Open family sends our deepest condolences to Miss Terry, and the Gay and Blue Water Candy family for the passing of Jodie. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. He was an icon in the tackle industry and the king mackerel fishing community. He was doing what he loved when the Lord called him home. He will be missed so very much.

Thank you to the Blue Water Candy fishing team and the other teams assisting in this emergency. You are all also in our thoughts and prayers. What you all did shows the family bonds that this sport has.

Got us a Top 20 finish in the North Division Leg 1. The rain and wind were nonstop all day. The bite was super slow, so we are very happy with our fish! Thank you to for getting our wiring gremlin worked out on our bait pumps and being part of the great partners that support our team.

Please continue to pray for God's mercy and grace over our family as we say goodbye to our son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend. All our invited, come as you are, and celebrate the life of Patrick.

Patrick made his presence known in this world long before it was his time when his mother went into early labor at only twenty-two weeks. We should have known then what was coming on October 7, 2002, it was truly a day like no other, it was the day that Patrick Allen and Brandi Ann Davis would welcome their second child William Patrick Davis into this world. He is the brother that his big sister Presley Chandler Davis would love, protect, and boss around like she is his other momma. Patrick is the big brother to his baby sister Elizabeth Ann Davis who would forever be subject to him wildly busting into her room, endless hours of aggravation, but also be his very best friend! Patrick is named after his Grandfather William Patrick Davis. The world knew him as Bill, but Patrick called him Grandpa Bill. Patrick is the Grandson of Wesley and Melaine Long who he called his Paw Paw and Maw Mel. Patrick got to experience what very few ever do he got to be held and loved by his Great-Great Grandmother Margie Starnes Keller who is his Maw Maw. Patrick was loved by so many more including his Grandpa Dannie, Aunt Michelle, Aunt Shann, Aunt Rashel, his other Aunt Michelle, his Uncle Trey, Uncle Steve, and his brother through their love for one another Troy Howell.

While we, his parents, sisters, grandparents, family, and friends are heartbroken and saddened that Patrick is no longer here with us we gather to Celebrate the Life of Patrick. The irony of it all is that Patrick always wanted everyone around him to be happy, he would do anything for you and never wanted you to make a fuss over him. You see Patrick decided years ago that there was going to be a celebration in Heaven in his honor, and he was going to be the center of it all! That decision was when he accepted Christ as his Savior. Patrick asked Jesus to forgive him of his sins, asked Jesus to live in his heart, and confessed Jesus as his Savior. Because of those three simple things Patrick ensured his place for eternity therefore let the Celebration begin. Patrick got to meet for the first time his Grandmother Theresa Keller Davis, she was his “Grandma Reesa”. Patrick also got to meet for the first time his other Grandmother Annie Laurie McGriff, she was his “Granny”. Patrick was greeted once again by his Maw Maw, his Grandpa Bill, his Grandpa Ed, his Grandma Boots, his Grandpa Roy, and all those that have gone before him into the Kingdom of God.

Thank you for being a part of the Celebration of the most incredible 21 years of Life that we got to experience with Patrick. The celebration May 23rd will soon begin and then it will quickly end but the Celebration that Patrick is now a part of in Heaven is never ending! We are not promised tomorrow, hug your children tightly, tell them you love them and continue to pray for our family. The presence of God is real, and His Mercy & Grace have covered our family.
