What a lovely day for trishaw rides on the trail! We saw the Elizabeth Looney Trail eagle and its nest and a turtle sunning itself on a log in Lytle Creek. Call us at Wheelies if you have someone in your life who can’t ride a bike and would like a ride on the trail.

Unreasonably unclear photo but the best I’ve got: we saw two bald eagles nesting within sight of the trail between Nelson and Ogden, about a mile walk from the Nelson parking lot. They’re right in the middle of our blue heron rookery though and I don’t see any male blue herons back on all those nests. 😢 The internet says eagles are a threat to herons. Anyone else watching this area and have more information?
