Best grind I've ever done. And this new design is gonna be great. I'm thinking I'll call it the Bulldog. Thick neck and turned up nose.

Been cutting Mammoth molar sets since 5:45am. I never was very good with the scissors in elementary school, but I’m pretty good with the lapidary saw and the abrasive disc.

Lots of new knives are on deck. About a dozen (many absolutely new designs) are soon to be on the website. And about 12 more will be shaped and finished in the next week or 2. But this khukuri has me excited. I got the fever to design some new stuff and this one just came out of nowhere. 14 inches long with an 8" blade. Even without the handle it has a good feel to it.

Heat Treat day. Lots of new designs. Condursal to thwart oxidation. Trying high temp engine paint as an alternative.

I am very excited about this new design. It’s a more refined medium to small sized cleaver-ish knife. I’m having a hard time putting a label on it. But not as hard a time I had when I was cutting it out of a plate of stainless steel a few hours ago. I got a little too froggy, and on the second cut to the tip of this not-quite knife, I wasn’t paying attention. Mowed my thumb right into the bandsaw blade. Well, the cut was too bad for me to play doctor. So I balled it up into a fist, hollered to my son Jack to take me to the doctor‘s office and there my doctor put 10 stitches in it. Thanks Dr. Williams and thanks Jack. And yes, when I got home, against better judgement I finished profiling the knife.

Not my first attempt at a micro. But the one I’ll make moving forward. This shape just melts into the hand. So tiny.
