Good morning beautiful souls. 🩷💕
I had the best morning! I woke at 7:00, but my bed was so comfy, and I had no reason to get up, so I stayed there, just enjoying the peace and quiet for an hour. It was glorious!
I’m currently home recuperating from a foot fracture. I’m also processing through some emotional trauma. I have embraced this time I was given (forced into, due to my injury) and I’m just letting myself be.
How often do we truly slow down and give ourselves time to rest and heal? Give it a try - linger in bed tomorrow morning, or just sit quietly at some point during your day. I’ve gained so much clarity by taking the time to reflect and listen to my heart. Feeling grateful.

I am recuperating after an injury. I am under a doctor’s orders to rest and let my physical body heal. But what I’ve learned is this - probably what I needed the most was to rest and nourish my mental and emotional self and allow that to heal after recent events upturned my life.
So, I’m taking full advantage of this forced down time to reflect and to listen to my heart and to set a new path forward, once I feel I have clarity.
I am feeling very grateful to have the gift of time to be still.

Hello beautiful souls. 🩷💕
I just found a 5 minute meditation that focused on the breath (as meditations do) and taught me something new…
If you think about each breath cycle, an inhale and an exhale, as a chance to start fresh, start over, begin again, to be a beginner (and experience the joy of some new moment or adventure, like riding a bicycle for the first time), you can cultivate that fresh feeling. It’s so simple, but pretty exciting when you think about how easy it is to literally start over every time you consciously decide to do so with a mindful breath.

Confession: I’m having a very hard time rising today and being dazzling after fracturing my foot the other day. I’m 66 years old and I’ve never tried to get around on crutches. It’s definitely not easy. I’m out of commission for 3-4 weeks. Aside from not being able to work and do a million things that were on my schedule, it will be mentally and physically exhausting (and it’s supposed to slow me down!). But I will rise to the challenge like I always do.
Have a blessed day. Namaste

Today is the first annual Jane Goodall Day! April 3 was Jane’s birthday. The Jane Goodall Institute has kicked off this annual day of impact that reimagines Jane’s birthday as a shared, global moment to come together in action and celebrate how her legacy lives on through people, communities, and our collective effort to make a positive difference.
We are each encouraged to do something today to make an impact! Do something to protect wildlife and habitats, strengthen communities, and care for the planet we all share. Recycle! Volunteer! Plant a tree! Donate to an environmental cause. Make a positive impact!
