You MUST learn how to do proper marketing if you’re starting a supplement brand.

It’s not just a case of build it and they’ll come.

I made that mistake years ago and it cost me dearly.

If someone else is already selling the product you want to sell, it’s not a problem.

You just have to answer two important questions and understand why they should but specifically from you.

Every one seems to be starting supplement brands. Don’t get into this for the sake of it though. Like most things, it’s all about systems, supply chain and marketing.

Ask the right questions before you launch:

1. Why would someone buy your supplement?
2. Why should the buy it from me, specifically?

If you’re struggling to answer these questions, then it’s time to seek help and build the right way.

Validate first, especially if you’re coming into this with a low budget. Listen to the market and adjust course along the way to produce the perfect custom blend.

The key is that its market lead, and not based on founder assumptions.

Don’t wait for the perfect condition to start. Starting is the perfect condition. Call me out if I’m wrong….

Do NOT quit your job to go all in on a new brand without savings or some means of cashflow.

I barely survived it, but it forced a deep level of action from me. I worked 3 jobs just to keep the lights on so that I didn’t need to take out of the biz for the first 2-3 years.

Not weeks or months - 2-3 YEARS.

Make sure you’re able to have an income to support marketing, or find an investor to allow you to go all in on the brand.

Don’t make the same mistake as me by assuming the market wants your product.

Expectation = make a great product, print cash and exit.

Reality = 2 years building, 4 years grinding and figuring things out.
