In honor of , the DHFC staff shared some of their favorite methods for stress relief! Check them out below:
- Get outside. Feel the fresh air going deep into my lungs is so relaxing and refreshing.
- Exercise! A good sweat does a lot of good for the mind and body.
- Read a book. It's calming for the brain to focus on that one task.
- Stretch: it relieves the tension in my shoulders and instantly improves my stress.
- Meditation allows me to focus my mind on the present and leave everything else behind momentarily.
- Spend time with my kids & my family. Taking time to be with those I love fills up my cup.
- Delete social media apps temporarily until the overwhelming feelings of stress have passed.
Hopefully you find something helpful in this list that you can apply in your own mental health care practice. Thank you to the DHFC staff for sharing!

Everyone needs a little help time to time. I remember he was mobile enough to come into the fitness center. I hope he will be able to return one day.
