LSSOD Competition Weekend #3 Recap!

We hit the stage this weekend at Platinum National Dance Competition at Regis College in Weston for a weekend full of hard work, great performances, and plenty of fun behind the scenes (cue the Irish jig contest in the hallway, and faculty working on their Tik Tok skills 🥴)

Top memorable moments came from our senior soloists. Beautiful performances from Sadie Winchell, Sabrina Fitzgerald, and Sammy Bolanos brought all the emotions after their performances. It was made even more meaningful with surprise visits from alumni dancers and alumni dance moms cheering them on. A true moment. ❤️

Special shoutout to junior dancer Gabriella Constantino for bravely taking the stage solo in the improv competition, and to our Junior/Teen Musical Theater group “9 to 5” for earning their highest competition score to date!

We also celebrated TWO Top Choreography Awards — Miss Janenne McCoy for mini large group “Only Hope” and Miss Cait Grayson for senior small group “Gravity.” Always so special seeing our instructors up there with our dancers.

Strong scores all around, including Haley McMullen earning a Top Score + Platinum Plus, and Sammy Bolanos and Sydnie Quinton placing Top 5 in Senior Solo Overalls.

We are heartbroken to share the news that one of our former LSSOD dancers, Ariana Ehrenthal, has passed away far too young after a courageous battle.

Ariana was a strong, inspiring young woman and orr thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

Her family has created a fund in her honor, and we wanted to share it with our community. If you are able, please consider donating to support them and help continue Ariana’s legacy.

Sweet Journey 17 was created in loving memory of Ariana Ehrenthal, whose courage and compassion continue to inspire a mission of helping families during one of the most difficult times of their lives.

After a long and brave battle in two children’s hospitals, Ariana’s parents remained faithfully by her side for six straight weeks, traveling from South Florida to Philadelphia to be with their daughter. During that time, they experienced firsthand the emotional and financial strain families face when a child requires an extended hospital stay.

While parents want nothing more than to remain close to their child, many hospitals are not equipped to support families for long-term stays. Overnight accommodations can be limited, and the daily cost of meals quickly becomes overwhelming. Families often find themselves balancing work obligations, travel expenses, and the financial burden of simply being present for their child.

Sweet Journey 17 exists to ease that burden.

Your donation helps provide financial assistance for meals and accommodations, allowing parents and caregivers to remain near their hospitalized child without the added stress of daily expenses. By supporting families during these critical moments, we help ensure that parents can focus on what matters most — being there for their child.

Although Ariana never had the chance to leave the hospital, she carried a dream of one day becoming a nurse so she could care for others. Her compassion and desire to help families like hers sparked the vision for this foundation.
Today, her loving parents continue that mission — turning heartbreak into hope for other families navigating their own hospital journeys.

Comp Week 2 moments at Legacy! 🤍

This team shows up for each other! The support, encouragement, and pride this group has for each other is something special!

This weekend was about week-over-week progress. A full week of pushing ourselves in the studio, supporting one another, and working hard with our faculty showed up as incredible growth on stage across the board yesterday. We couldn’t be more proud of this team.

What a way to open our 2026 season! We are beyond proud of our groups, duos, and soloists. This weekend we were honored with Top Awards in Artistry, Emotional Ex*****on, and Technique... the exact qualities we value most at Legacy Studios School of Dance. Watching our dancers take the stage with heart, intention, and training is what is all about.

Congratulations to our dancers on multiple Highest-Scoring Group Routine awards, several Top 10 duo/solo placements, and a huge congratulations to Lily Clifford for 1st Overall in her division, and our brand new Mini Team placing 1st Overall--earning the highest-scoring Zenith Award for their age group in their debut performance. We couldn’t be prouder of these little stars. 🌟

So much laughter, growth, and behind-the-scenes joy packed into one weekend. This team is something special. ♥️
