Water temps are creeping up to 60 degrees and the fish are showing up in the marsh. I only have a few days left for booking this March. Bonito are on the beach and the redfish are turning on inside.

Cuba is a beautiful country with diverse and healthy ecosystems full of life. We caught bonefish from 3-8 lbs as well as snook in various sizes, juvenile tarpon and tarpon up to 25 lbs. the Avalon guides have got incredible heart and a professionalism with handling boats that is second to none. I’ll be planning a repeat trip for 2026🇨🇺

Just home from Cuba 🇨🇺 Canarreos with some of the best traveling companions I’ve ever had the pleasure of hosting. We had an incredible experience in spite of some tough weather. The guides and crew of the Avalon F1 are an amazing team and we miss our new Cuban friends dearly. I’ll be hosting more trips to Cuba in the future and encourage anyone who loves saltwater fly fishing to visit Cuba.

We’ve had some fun down in the cypress swamps targeting Bass and Bowfin when the winds keep us off the coast. It’s nice to have options to fish such hauntingly beautiful landscapes.
