Heidi’s story is what it’s all about!
Seeing her become stronger, more capable, and confident in what her body can do is exactly why we believe in functional strength training. Our goal is simple: help people move better, build strength that lasts, and train in a safe, supportive environment with hands-on coaching every step of the way.
Thank you, Heidi, for trusting us with your journey—we’re excited to keep cheering you on! 💪🏽

Pro fighter group post-workout 😤
Every session makes this team stronger and it's always a pleasure getting to watch their growth. Iron sharpens iron. ⚔️💪
Tight hips or a stiff low back? The 90/90 stretch is a great way to improve hip mobility, increase range of motion, and help relieve built-up tension.
If you spend a lot of time sitting, lifting, or dealing with hip tightness, add this movement to your warm-up or recovery routine. Move slowly, stay controlled, and focus on your breathing.
Save this for your next workout and give it a try! 🙌
This is how we do it at EPT. 💪🔥

🔥 Coach's Hot Take:
Once you're in your 40s and beyond, the barbell back squat may not be the best return on investment for most people.
Can you still do it? Absolutely. But should everyone? Not necessarily.
For many adults, the goal isn't to be a powerlifter...it's to stay strong, move well, and avoid unnecessary setbacks. The barbell back squat can place significant demands on the spine, hips, knees, and shoulders, and for some people, the risk simply outweighs the reward.
Instead, I often recommend movements like:
-Split squats
-Goblet squats
-Step-ups
These exercises can build lower-body strength, improve balance and stability, and be easier to adjust to your individual mobility and training experience.
Train for longevity, not just the next workout.
