Self-rescue skills matter in every season, and in the clothes your child actually wears. Winter clothing can feel heavy and different in the water, which is why practicing these skills with layers on can be so important.
ISR lessons help little ones learn how to respond if they unexpectedly enter the water, even when they aren’t dressed for swimming. Because real-life emergencies don’t come with a swimsuit. 💙

Wearable floaties are often marketed as learn-to-swim aids for toddlers. Some even carry “Coast Guard approved” language—but parents and researchers worry they can create a false sense of safety and don't teach children to swim.
