Westley's dam line represents the strongest mare family at Belarian Arabians, Emese. They are big, powerhouse, well-structured mares that consistently produce exceptional performance horses such Rebel Just Because and Arcade (*Arpan), who completed multiple Tevis runs apiece.

When Mel Rosvold, the breeder of As You Wish BF+/ (Sivmen B x Pristina by Arkangel), saw future National Champion Strike as a two year old in 1983 at Scottsdale, she was blown away by his trot and long, hooky neck. She often thought what a nice dressage horse he would make, and finding him so close in Sivmen B's pedigree was exciting!

One of the most interesting contributions to As You Wish BF+/'s performance pedigree comes from Sivmen B’s dam, Sivka (pictured). She was a Strike daughter and she contributed his huge, four-square trot and kind, gentle nature to Westley.

Sivka’s dam, Gay Polly, was by the well known Pietuszok son Gay Polka and out of the Czort daughter *Rusalkaa. These Polish lines consistently produce excellent performance horses and are difficult to find in a modern show horse.

The greatest value of this line, apart from big motion, is the hook it gives to bring in Polish-bred, English-moving mares to increase predictability for maintaining good knees and hocks while introducing the scope and power of a solid Russian pedigree to improve engagement.
