The Santana 20 National Championship was held last week in Eugene, Oregon. Banks Sails powered boats finished 2,3,4,5,7 (main and spinnaker), 8, 9, and 10. Most of the Banks boats were using sails that have 1-3 seasons on them; none were new for the regatta.
The first place boat was sailed by industry professionals who were using sails that had one regatta on them. They were sold after the Nationals; their second regatta.
We think that this is an incredible testament to the quality of Banks sails. It tells you a lot about the durability of the Banks Santana 20 sails, as well as proves that they are extremely fast both out of the bag and after lots of use. Banks does not make throw away sails!
Our congratulations and thanks to the Banks customers who sailed with our sails.

Gave a sail trim lecture for the racing sailors out at Island Sailing Club last night (08/04/2014), then watched from the Committee Boat as they ran 3 quick races. Afterwards, back at the dock, everyone was so excited about the evening of racing. They stayed long after the boats were all tied up at the dock, and had a few beers and discussed the race.
It is great to see a bunch of people so excited about going out to race on a sailboat
